what did you expect form a country that forces their idiology over seas with violence? did you actually believe the goverment was going to sit and have a chat with the protesters? if you answer yes to those questions... how disappointing...

I fail to see how this summit brought money into the pittsburgh area, yet we as tax payers footed the bill of a lot of the security as well as lack of income generating activities

This is right on the money. Many pittsburgh businesses were forced to close as people were not allowed downtown. Pleople were blocked from enjoying the city... There were only a couple of protestors that actually caused damage to businesses and it was a group that was protesting racism.... many students were arrested and harrassed that did nothing but mil around the campuses. A lot of those cases have already been dismissed.

what happened to talking about the issues that people went there to protest in the first place?
If all we talk about is the cop riot they've won.
No one knows any more about the G20 than they did 2 weeks ago. But now everyone is more afraid. Congratulations.
