Okay dear Alex, kitteh-cuddling, shiny collecting, game adorer…happy to know you at least liked the song. Since you are only 16 this song was way before your time. Have a great weekend!
To all you pro wrestling fans out there: This was the #1 song in the USA when Richard Fliehr came into the world (February 25, 1949). Fliehr would become famous as The Nature Boy, Ric Flair.
actually the song came out back in 1947 i know cos it is one of the songs playing on the car radio in the video game LA Noire, and that game is set in 1947! it is also used in an insurance commercial here in Australia lol
@punji73 Just because it's in L.A. Noire doesn't mean it came out in the exact year it's set in. Haven't you heard music on your car radio from other times or even last year? Even so, this song was published in 1947. But it this version came out in 1948
@GamingJesters well maybe the folks of LA got to hear the song on the radio a year before the rest of the world did just like how we hear a new song made by an australian artist or even watch a new aussie tv show or movie a year before the rest of the world does!
@carann5 Ha ha. Yeah,I found out about this song thanks to the game. Please don't be harsh to people who heard it through that. = ( I mean,I wish I could find all these great songs through other means, but thanks for posting! = )
great video to one of the best songs from the seventies. and i wish travolta, walken, and tweetie would just make a movie together already!!!!!!!!!! thx for reading
It seems we never forget favorite songs do we? This was one of my earliest song memories. As a little kid, I remember my aunt singing "yucka bucka bucka buck." Thanks for your comment!

@punji73 LA Noire, while set in 1947, still has cars from '48 and '49, so I'm pretty sure some of the songs are from these years as well.

It ranked number one on the US Hitlist from January 22nd - March 5th 1949. So the song is from 1949 :)
Great track and thanks for sharing this oldie!

@carann5 I recognize good music, whatever time it may come from :) Although radio music has been degrading fast in quality over the years.
But then it is nice to have someone as you to upload these good oldies :)
