On your E string, bring your finger up to the 2nd fret, mid finger on the 3rd string second fret and third same.........See how you like it. I can't read music, but I learn by ear.  Takes a lont tim but, Very confident this can help.

try the Bar "G" chord first. its easier, and it will get you used to the finger position which is important. see rayred com for hundreds of free lessons.
