Yes, but my point is that weed shouldn't be on our streets. The reason the war on drugs is failing is not because of superior enemies, but poor planning. How do you think we lost Vietnam? Instead of focusing of the users, we should go after the makers. and about the cartels, I don't think they would just walk away from that money they make. Who knows, maybe they might or might not die off. I don't want to take the risk of legalizing.

You know my solution? We should move our focus to the producers (or distributors) rather than the consumers. You know why we lost in Vietnam? Poor planning(and not to mention we gave up.) With the right plan, we can inflict heavy casulties on the cartels and they'll flee. We should show the cartels we don't want em here, and use force! - To keep the price up.

Actually I read a study on marihuana taken from several European countries in 2009, indicating that's true. But it was only about five percent, at most. But that study is a bit fraudulent because it doesn't take in account the people who are not Dutch and still buy the drugs there. Next year, foreigners can't buy any more drugs in Holland so then we can take a really good look on those numbers.

William Randolph Hearst, the Newspaper magnate (the one Citizen Cane is based off of) along with his collegues didn't like that Hemp was becoming America's largest cash crop. It meant that their lumber mills would go out of bussiness because hemp would make excellent paper, with having to cut down trees. @trollfinger but alcohol use and drug use even pot has very different affects on your body. you get drunk and next day it is out of your system and ok to work if not hungover. do this too often too much and you develop long term illnesses like liver damage. smoke pot and it affects your mental abilities . you become mentally lazy or uninterested and that affects work, also i think it stays in your body longer so smoke today work tomorrow maybe not as easy. i'd rather they did cocaine than pot

@rostant999 The thing in marijuana that gets you high is delta-9 THC. This only stays in your body for a couple of hours. Thc metabolizes into delta-11 THC which just stays in your fatty cells and does not make you HIGH or any other type of effects.

We should all be legally allowed to do what we want, if it is something like murder that's different, but if someone wants to smoke weed let them, do coke or heroin or any other drug it should be solely their freedom to make that decision. How does some guy getting high for recreational use negatively affect our Nation? It doesn't, get real.

I try to think for myself 'cause that's what Liberals do, but I find Ana's Nixon story too difficult to believe, personally. It just seems like such a major controversy that no one talks about. I'm kinda curious to see if the source she got this article from is credible. I'm not trying to call them liars, but this is just too surprising if it were true and it should be spread out into the country more.
