@howardkevinm it's already in the works. The connection track btw The NS Heartland/CSX Seaboard line is in place. The station in Norfolk at Harbor Park is being built. The state of Va has already committed funding for the project.
Proud day for Norfolk Southern! Kind of what the Southern Railway used as a slogan- giving a green light towards innovation- this is what I like about NS very forward thinking railroad and innovative. I can't wait to see what else Norfolk Southern Rail corporation will develop in the future! Congratulations!
It's great that they are improving their services with the double stack cars to better serve the country, and helping the enviornment by getting more gas gussling trucks off the road.
Love the comparison between shipping by truck & train. Intermodal has “less impact on the environment, less congestion on our roadways, and lower fuel costs.” The aerial shots were impressive too. Overall nice video!
This is beneficial to everyone. Rail service has always been the way our country moves goods. To let it lack in progress would hurt us as a nation. The enviornmental impact is huge! Saving gas and less congestion on the highways sound great. Good job on the Heartland corridor from the Heart of Ohio! Great video!
Now if we can just get a nation wide Maglev train with a dedicated line. We would get more vehicles off the road and have less air traffic.
enjoyed the video.. i liked how they notched the tunnels to fit the double stacks. we do need to get some traffice off our highways. keep up the good work
Wow. Super! I was wondering when the tunnel improvement project on the Pokey was going to be completed. And I don't know how folks in Ironton, OH will feel about the increased traffic through town along the river, but I'll be happy to watch trains when I'm up there visiting family. Congrats, NS!!! Now buy KCS and get busy down here to Dallas!

I like when you show the busy highways with traffic standing still and then show the trains rolling uninterupted. Great informational video.

I liked the option of lowering the tracks in the tunnels instead of raising the roof of the tunnels.

@PRRK4Lover Not a big deal. The N&W mainline is going to benefit big time. PRR was always the heavyweight, now it's time for the N&W to really shine.
