  • Nancy Wilson was about 24 when this was recorded. Sadly, I only know of one other 24-year old woman out there now who can compare, and she is far from being famous. Our society is so far from this entire dynamic now, and it's a sad commentary. Artificial images and pitch-corrected vocals have distorted reality. But...if we insist on reality, we can make a change. So let's do that, shall we?

  • It was ROGER Fisher, NOT MIKE.

  • @gumbypokey58 there was a mike and roger fisher in the band, both original guitarists and mike ended up being a sound engineer for them

  • The way Ann kisses with the microphone as she sings is hot.

  • Respect!

  • Well folks...this is how REAL MUSIC used to sound LIVE before computers gave us CRAP like: Lady Blah Blah, MADONNA, Beyonce and all the other PITCH-corrected so-calle "divas" who could not sing their way out of a.......ANN WILSON RULES because she is REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nancy is just one freaking hot babe ... Oh ... and extremely talented too : P

  • Does that first intro have a name?

  • epic. truly epic '70s arena rock in all its glory

  • I would die if I could ever play like this. Nancy Wilson is the guitar goddess! This is pure brilliance. You’ve gotta love rock from the 70’s. I almost had a heart attack from watching this.

  • 5:05 sums up Ann Wilson's power. Wow... Get Heart into the Hall of Fame NOW! It's criminal.

  • Nothin sexier ..than a girl guitarist.... I saw them in Paso Robles 1990...and Nancy can sure kick those legs!

  • Nancy ROCKS like no one else! She's so hot on that intro. I adore her!

  • alot of woman are stupid bitches . not this chick

  • Ann is one of the sexist women who has ever lived.

  • @ghendric Ann is the vocalist.

  • @phortion DOH!! lol.. I meant ANN! ... lol...

  • When I look at Nancy my heart pounds against my ribs. The most beautiful woman ever.

    (splashes face with cold water)

  • @5jerry1 Nancy is a flawless sweetheart. And nobody can rock an acoustic as hard as she.

  • @Omniculler

    My lifelong crush since 1976!

  • @5jerry1 You've got me beat by a bit; both Ann and Nancy have been my crushes since I discovered them Sept. 2010. Only women that alternately make me sweat, salivate, and gap in awe, make my heart jump in my chest, and give me chills and goosebumps without fail. No matter how many times I see them, it always feels like the first; I'm always taken aback by their beauty as if it were impossible to remember its spectacular extent in full.

  • The two guitars.......perfect

  • acoustic guitar in hand, the win blowing in her hair and rocking out hardcore.... im in love

  • lntro awesome! Vocal awesome! Ann & Nancy awesome!!

  • Check out my band's cover of Nancy Wilson's "River Road"..... "Davis Brothers - River Road" and let me know what you think!

  • they still sound good LIVE. Took my husband to see them for his birthday. First concert he ever saw was Heart back in 1977. If they come back we will be there again.

  • The wilson sisters are soo talented, Nancy on the acoustic guitar at the start of this song just fuckin AWESOME

Ann has such a great voice that compliments their style of rock. They also had a great band behind them. Arr the 70's I miss the great music that used to come out every week just about...

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • Both Wilsons move so nicely in this performance of the most passionate song ever written. Roger has such energy running all over the stage and I love the way Nancy looks side to side when she is playing. Then at the end Ann reaches out to the crowd and Nancy waves. Great.

  • i get the chills when nancy kicks her leg up at 2:30, and i could listen to ann wilson for the rest of my life. heart is so amazing--true talent at its finest

  • Very good intro. Loved it.

  • how can u not love this... i can understand that u don't like hardcore, but this? if u don't like this, go to google and get a life or something!

  • Whoever dislikes , go fly kite

  • 9 dislike to one of the greatest acoustic guitar intro ever

  • 9 people aren't crazy

  • 2:38 that guitarist comes out of no where!!!

  • @morecoolishness2

thats what happens when ninja train people to play guitars

  • @morecoolishness2

    Maybe he's the magic man;)

  • @morecoolishness2 he does doesn't he!

    wtf is he wearing?

  • I DInt know jesus played guitar and was a woman

  • 2:30 way way cool. Goosebumps. They NEED to be in the Rock n Roll HOF. I will not go there until they are!!!!!

  • A Heart show, that is. Not my parents...

  • I'm 21 and I went with my parents who are in their 50's to a show of theirs in Des Moines and I was blown away. She's still got that amazing voice.

  • I sometimes like to make little witticisms about the vast minority of people who hit the dislike comment on a video that is undoubtedly awesome (as we aspiring comedy writers who aren't very funny are want to do). On this video I was going to say something about how 9 people never had anyone go crazy on them, or 9 people don't like pastels; funny stuff I know. But in all seriousness, what would have to be wrong with someone to not like this. I fear for society.

  • @Horhayj Exactly. "I fear for society." What kind of person DISLIKES this?!

  • Denver, CO 1970s. OMG in the front of the stadium, on my then husband's shoulders. There they were, live, Mile High Stadium, wind blowing in their hair, the images burned into my mind forevermore...glorious

  • The way they're so expressive and confident on stage is in such beautiful contrast to their quiet, sweet interview tone. The Runaways were the same way.

Cherrie Currie pretended she was David Bowie and the Wilsons pretended they were the Beatles. The women from both groups modeled themselves after men of rock and yet obviously created distinctive feminine styles for themselves. Fantastic.

  • Who the he'll are the 8 people who didn't like this? Wayne Newton fans?

  • It is fortunate this was on film, or many people wouldn't realize how good heart was, especially Nancy!

  • awesome awesome awesome. I want to go back in time and become nancies lover in the 70s :D

  • @TimmyGolding I want to time travel to 1978 and have Ann and Nancy fight over which of them gets to have my babies.

  • @Omniculler hahaha :D

  • @TimmyGolding Don't laugh at me. >_< I was dead srs. :,(

  • I wish I would have been born back then. The music now a days sucks.

  • @LivyLUVbug Most music today doesn't deserve to be called such. Just a bunch of repetitive, mindnumbing, talentless slop doled out to the ignorant masses too unsophisticated to know they're getting played and fleeced.

  • Nancy....an amazing and talented beauty.

  • I've never watched a Heart video, but holy shit she can really play guitar! Impressive.

  • bought an Ovation Legend, $1100, the preamp crapped out in a month and they expected me to pay to send it back for repairs. gave it to a student as an "acoustic" for him to learn on.

  • One great guitar player. To bad she never got the credit deserved.Over all this group was over looked Another rock & Roll sad story

  • This song isn't about Mike FIsher...

  • that intros effin intense!! nancys a beast!! n anns voiceis amazazing i love heart. they were my moms favorite band when she was growing up this is deff a band that all generations can love

  • The opening guitar and the vocals especially at 5:08 are just amazing

  • Ovation guitars have such bad tone.

  • @idahodad1 oh so true

  • @idahodad1 And you play... What?

  • @idahodad1 Just showing my age... But in 1978, Ovations were the best Acoustic/Electric guitars for stage use. Back in the day when bands played in theaters and music halls, and traveled by BUS... Ovation was the way to go. As to Ovations having "Bad Tone"... Nancy Wilson apparently didn't think so. Ovation NEVER gave away guitars... Any musician playing an Ovation PAID for that Ovation. No Freebies. Even for endorsements.

  • @OldManArthur Well, I think Ovation had some great ideas for acoustic guitars and it was popular to have one, but they do not have the popular appeal that they had back then. Like one person who sold the guitars, he said they don't sound like guitars, they sound like Ovations. After he said that, I listened to them and understood what he was talking about. I wonder what Nancy Wilson is playing these days.

  • WTF!!! I am blown away!!!!! Fuck Yeah!!!!

  • I WISH some 1 would tab this version out

  • One of the best guitar solos ever!

  • Nancy is so fu&*^%^ hot in this video...!! I think I fell in love.

  • Oh well, let's all just say we were there, choose your preference, Seattle, Texas, Portland, Toronto or Mars !

Cheers to all that were actually at one of these shows in the great summer of 1978.

The band was bloody strong at the time.....................

  • Timeless.

  • she is pure rock diety

  • Just so you know this was in 1978 concert in Seattle. They played three strait nights at the Seattle Center. I know I was there back stage. Hope this clears up when. I keep seeing it was here it was there. Check your dates.

  • Just so you know this was in 1978 concert in Seattle. They played three strait nights at the Seattle Center. I know I was there back stage. Hope this clears up when.

  • Not sure if anyone corrected the original posters statement, but, Mike Fisher was the tour manager and Ann's boyfriend, Roger Fisher, his brother was the guitarist and Nancy's boyfriend

  • @masondixonrocks In the original band that would become Heart as we knew it, Mike Fisher was briefly a guitarist before stepping back to manage the band instead as the uploader states.

  • 2:28 is so win

  • Damn! Nancy high stepping in her f**k-me boots. Is there anything better?

  • Heart is NOT playing at the Orange Peel in Asheville.

  • Heart is the real deal!

  • Anne can use me and abuse me anytime back then, and still nowadays. She is so sexy!!

  • That opening guitar solo is.....SO.....DAMN.....AWESOME!

  • 2:30 The coolest R&R chick ever.

  • The extra bit that Nancy plays in the intro is the riff from Hijinx. Awesome!

  • Nice to hear my husband playing the guitar again...and what is he playing you might ask ? Crazy on You... love it...

  • About a year before Heart became an Rock and Roll household name ..... a friend came to me... he had an extra ticket to some concert in Seattle... I asked him who it was for... the answer... "Not sure, some girl group" was his answer. We went and were totally blown away. I have been a Heart fan since that night. Love Ann and Nancy and the "Heart" they bring to the stage and the piece of it the give to all of us.

  • Nancy, you rock!!!!!

  • Nancy, so fkn cool in all her movements and playing..............damn

  • I had forgotten how good these guys are. Not only Nancy and Ann, but the whole damned band.

  • @GroovyMimi69 I can dig your experience, but this show was played in Toronto Aug 1978, I was there :)

    Peace and Love

  • this is the chick tracy and i are refering to jorge lol she is real good!

  • I love that wind up she does after the prelude going into the intro. I saw an interview once where she said her fingers are as hard as stone from playing so much. With heavy cords like that, I'd be happy if they weren't bleeding. But damn, this song takes me back. I wore the grooves out of the album when I was in highschool, both this and Little Queen.

  • @yooley Well, that's no good. I've always imagined that Nancy's fingers were the world's softest to the touch.

  • @hueseph Yeah...I thought about that after I wrote it,but it is what it is.I had already posted it & split. Was'nt a major major thing for me to correct at the time, but I guess I should've because if I dont correct it...I will be getting e-mails from Heart fans 4 the rest of my life like yours...so it was Hijinx...ok ppl's? Not Hightime. Clear? Over n out Great live version of this song.Ann has belted out her soul here.Smokin!!! Merry Christmas ppl!! Wish I could spend it at a Heart Jam!

  • luv this so much !

  • Is she picking with her fingers, or does she wear picks on any of them? I can't get my guitar to sound anywhere near as good as this...

  • @AnzaBrush Im not sure,, but Im guessing she is using her fingers,, in fact I have seen some closups where she does, use her fingers for sure,, and I think I saw her grab a pick off a place where she probably strategically placed so she could use a pick for that part,...

  • @AnzaBrush She has long nails for and she's wearing a thumb pick for the intro and then she flicks it off and picks up a pick for the rest

  • Love Silver Wheel in the beginning...I want that song played at my funeral.

  • This was at the Texxas Jam live 1978, I was backstage...worked for Showco at the time (lighting/sound company for the Jam...also for Zeppelin and TOOO many to name here...google Showco).

  • God, Anne was so cool

  • perfect so much people listen to fuckin good music

  • i think she wants to go crazy on a box of doughnuts :PP

  • @mandypoo2 idiot

  • @GroovyMimi69 quiet big boy

  • @Agemenon It's called siver wheels. It can be found on Hearts 5th cd called BeBe Le Strange.with a little "High time"tossed in.A great song from their 4th cd called"Dog and Butterfly"Im not sure what the lil pickin session is in between, but it sounds great all thrown together.Nance is tops in her field for sure.Ive yet to see another guitarist I enjoy more..male or female.for me,its page & wilson.Im very proud of her as a woman.Nancy showed Them!!You Go Girl!! Ann as well! Im in awe of them.

  • @SmokinMo11 It was Hijinx not High Time, but whatever.

  • Rock on Heart...........the best band ever.

  • 2:33. One of the coolest chicks ever in R&R, she's got style.

  • what is the little prelude that she plays just before she jumps into the song?

  • @Agemenon i think shes just messin around?? but it does sounds like it is part of a song

  • Amazing!

  • man i wish this was high def these girls are hot

  • @nabber17

I wish I was I high def and there at the time..... there is no equal as far as hot, talented women are concerned

  • One of the top ten classic rock songs of the post beatles era

  • an angel with a guitar!

  • The song "Magic Man" not "Crazy on you" was written about Mike Fisher. Roger Fisher, who is a personal friend of mine told me this directly.

  • So nice to see live music that actually sounds better live.

  • ohhhh mein a.obwohl ich schon über 40 bin,hab ich das nicht gewusst!

    egal,ich liebe alle fraun!

    lol

  • 8 people apparently hit the wrong thumb.

  • @TelAvivMarket shame.

  • Ann was blazing... Fisher was laying down some serious art.. just like I remembered seeing them live myself in this simply killer vid BRAVO!

  • too bad she got super fucking fat

  • @cassgmaj Actually she has been losing weight and already lost aboyt 60lbs. already and losing more...

  • @cassgmaj Actually she has been losing weight and already lost about 60lbs. and losing more...Hope to see her succeed. Actually I think the weight gave her a stronger voice... Go Figure!

  • What an intro, and what a voice. The Wilson sisters kick ass.

  • I'm going to see them live in Feb 2011 super pumped can't wait..

  • I miss when music was good.

    Now it's filled with cRAP

  • I love this song because it really show's Nancy's talent. Not only is she a very talented singer in her own ri9ght, but she has one hell of a talent with the guitar. God bless you Ann and Nancy Wilson for creating one of the most influential bands ever created! Rock on Ladies!

  • Yeah they were and still are great.

  • And that my friends, is HOW it's done! AWESOME! Ann's pipe's! Nancy's guitar! Beauty. 2:31 leg kick gives me chills. Sooooo Coool.

  • Does anybody know what the intro for this song is called?

  • @blacksamurai20 "Silver Wheels". It came out on the Bebe Le Strange Album. Also, in the middle i think Nancy is throwing in some "Hijinx" from Dog & Butterfly Album.

  • not only a great guitar player....but very easy on the eyes....

  • This is a Golden Nugget of Concert Footage. By the way the guy's name is Roger Fisher. just sayin'

  • @toker53 Mike Fisher was their manager...Roger's brother and Ann's boyfriend...Magic Man was about Mike.

  • @billyboy57 Yeah, I know, but the tag under the video says that Mike Fisher was their original guitartst. That isn't correct, Roger was, and a damn giid guitarist he was and probably still is if he's still jammin'. that's what I was commenting on.

  • fucking...precious.
