thanks for the vid. just placed an order for one..my question is how to get the ember to the tinder bundle? I know im missing something pretty simple here but are the embers cut from the rope and placed on the tinder bundle?

You can press the ember against the tinder bundle, cut it off, or just pull off a bit of the rope. It comes apart relatively easily once it is charred.

Just a little refillable one that I picked up a while back.

Yeah, what kind rope is that? Find that out.

It's just cotton rope with an outer sleeve of cotton and several inner strands of cotton. A good bit comes with the lighter when you get it from me, but you can probably use just about any cotton rope and it should work.
