@jklmnop9999 - in my mind the Israeli Dances are more different and more beautiful, because they integrate all kinds of traditonal and modern folklore
Sorry, I don't know it exactly, because I have this old sung Version on a music-cassette. But I think it's sung by Karmon Israeli Singers and Dancers, but perhaps by Ha Gevatron or Ha Parvarim?
i love this dance. i did as a child. my mom's friend taught me. she's obsessed with israeli folkdance. and goes to moshe eskayo weekends and some of chaim kaufman ones. i've be to twoo of them as a child. this is awesome!
Exactly, i`m japanese and so moved finding this on youtube:-D
we didnt know so many things about the background information like this comes from israeli culture but hearing the melody start, immidiately people can dance to it with singing "mayim mayim...!" this makes japanese people happier as well! XD
Do you know that most Japanese learn this dance in elementary school? It is a much slower version though but almost anyone in Japan can recognize this music and can dance to it!
As an American, I find it an incredible thing to see Jews dancing in the streets of Berlin, in a country that only a few decades ago tried its best to wipe them off the face of Europe. This is a beautiful picture of the resilency of the Jewish people - and concrete proof that Hitler's sadistic scheme didn't succeed. This is a wonderful video clip - I really enjoyed watching it!
On this Video you can see Dancers while dancing the old Pioneer-Dance "Mayim Mayim", but they are Germans and Christians within only 2 or 3 Jews. The wonderful music and the merry Israeli Dances connect them all together ! We are glad, that now in Germany Jews and Christians could be dance together and have a good Relationship ! Mirjam
Hi, our Video shows the Israeli Dance "Mayim, Mayim" like the Choreographer have made it. But a Dance sometimes will a little bit changed by the time and with the people, who dance it. It doesn' t matter, so the Israeli Dances will live in countries all over the world with the people, who love these merrry Dances....
I didn't put those in my bag.

You are right,
Elsie Dublin choreographed the Dance in 1937 little differently.
