Hey Mate, I can't confirm that awesome footage was taken at the camp. The Python footage was claimed to be taken by a resident (roostmaster500 - see comments below) at the mine camp, a stones throw away from my dorm.
BUT i can confirm i twice saw pythons of similar size around the mine and camp in my 6 month stint, so it's plausible.

Colin, You can check on the reserves and grades of the various mines at the Mines Dept in Darwin. They have a sheet that shows them all. That is only a guide though, because the huge expense of de-watering and large cutbacks of waste can make them worthless. No company has made a cent out of "Tom's Gully" since MIM walked away from it almost twenty years ago. But it has been in floats several times since! A lot of con men in this business and it will get worse as the POG rises!

Well done with the song. Puts a tad of humour back into an otherwise very serious situation which has affected a lot of people.
GBS has a lot to answer for but like all other companies, will get away with it and move on somewhere else and do it again.
