how awesome. just heard of this, thought i would search because im finding many people who upload audio files of them reading the book! and wah lah.. you have the movie. thank you so much!
I could believe that animals one day will grow into giant sized canivors.I could never believe a woman can give birth and get drfessed in less than 5 minutes and run out of a cabin like nothing ever happened..LOL
Another classic by H.G. Wells,"Food of the Gods"I didn't know this was shot on lacation in and out of Vancouver Island,Canada;it's landscape is so beautiful and it's still is today.
This is a great trip down memory lane! I saw this on a weekend when I was in elementary school and we all talked about it the next week because of the giant rats and things! The practical giant rooster was actually pretty well done, though the rest of the enlargement FX were generally pretty bad. Still a very fun thing to get to watch again! Thanks for the upload!
@Capng123 LOL, no, it really is based on the first couple of chapters of the book, the major difference (aside from taking place on an American island in the 1970s rather than England in the 1890s) being that the Food is some mysterious natural stuff here, where it was purposely invented by 2 scientists in the novel. It's a lot closer than VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS was!
Marjoe Gortner has got to be the worst actor ever to walk planet earth. Love him in this!

Only in a 70's ecological nature strikes back flick like Food Of The Gods does the hero battle to the death with giant oversized chickens
