what i found that works just as good as taping off the tire, but is less time consuming, is sticking index cards between the lip of the rim, and the tire. takes about a minute and it works just as well. just make sure its not windy cause the wind will blow them over

not bad , for better results i suggest using 800 grit sandpaper b4 the pre-wipe lightly sanding and u can still wash ur wheels but dnt leev them sanded fur long then they either rust or look like crap, also wen ur swappin tires u dnt hav to put much effort in tightening ur lugnuts bak on jus get it hand tight then place the crobar on an jus smak it down once =) gud vid -------- ur hoMie X

lol, u lose the bolts bfore jacking up the car cause u'll put too much pressure on the wrench and prolly bounce the car too much and it might fall, also a good advice is to put something under the car close to the jack like the spare tire so in the event the car falls it wont go flat on the floor ;)

sorry for my bad english but, is it wise to clean the tire with soap? (i'm a painter but got no experience on cars) normally soap atracts filth, the point of cleaning the rim is to take away filth and 'greasy' stuff that are in the pores of the rim (metals have small pores where filth can easily get attached) so you have the best attachment of the coat. anyway, it worked! so i might be wrong :D great job on those rims :) i'm gonna give it a try soon! thx!

you might want to be careful where your putting that jack , cause if its in the wrong spot you could crumple fiberglass parts, or even worse the car could slip off.........you also might want to put a brick or something at the back tire in case your e brake doesn't hold

did you sand down your curb rash with 320 grit sandpaper then use etch primer for the bare metal parts (so they wont rust) then sand again to smooth finish then repaint? because i can still see that curb rash near the blue part of the newspaper at 5:56

you loosen the lugnut first so when you jack up your car, the nuts are already loosefor you. instead of trying to loosen them in the air, which causes the tire to spin
