Poor Kenneth the Auditor from Clarence Gardens, SA. :( He didn't even get to answer a question all night or even say 'hello' when introduced at the beginning.
I agree, the host's words were very tightly scripted. Especially when you compare him to the host of the American version, Jim Perry.
From what I've seen on YouTube, most of the time if I know an answer, I'd get it even before a contestant buzzes in. But here, it doesn't happen as often as the host speaks a bit quicker.
@MeFrom07 Jim Perry did a good job hosting this in America for over six years. At the same time, he was also hosting a show in Canada, "Definition". The prizes on there were cheap compared to $oTC, but it was a good game. Before $oTC, he hosted "Card Sharks" from 1978-1981. It appeared briefly in Australia as "Play Your Cards Right" in 1984, hosted by Ugly Dave Gray.
Thank you darijoe! I always hope that someone would post more SOTC clips. also, thanks that you recorded the gift shop too. I really like the theme background music for the alfa romeo. It sounds very exciting.
that should call this Ben of the Century.

As opposed to the host whose words were tightly scripted.
I am even surprised he never said "Time for the mad minute to see who our champion is going to be so let's find out what's going to happen".

Jim Perry didn't need to be scripted. He's just that cool.
