I dig this song so much because of the lyrics... the music is, honestly, sub-par in my opinion (I listen mostly to instrumental stuff, so yeah), yet the stylistic delivery of the words do something for me. It's hard to describe, but the flow of the syllables, rhythm and rhyme are pretty magical :)
@pie4lifeXgirly I think it represents that no matter how insignificant one's reason for crying is, she'll be with her/him and help him outside, no matter how dumb or frivolous their reason for crying is... Also, a reference to the beginnings line regarding keeping one's goods on the shelf.
Makes me think of my baby girl when she is cuddled on my chest in fetal position. We do make a pair of parentheses, although a lopsided pair. And there could be some scary things on that deli aisle to make her cry.
