Keep talking about the same old bull.. Nadal has been to every tournament on "concrete" reaching Finals and SF. (that is his less favored surface) still some called specialist on hardcourt could not reach as far as Nadal!! hmmmm. As for other surface notone in the whole world can dominate so completely a surface like Nadal does on clay.
CLAY/gras are both natural surfaces favored in Europe. Clay's the most phisically demanding surface. Most players do well on concrete. However, not many shine on clay. As for difficulty, well the fact is that those that specialise on the concrete surface adapt worse to clay than the other way around!!
5 Career Titles on Hardcourt, e.g. TMS Indian Wells, 2 Wimbledon Finals, Semi Finals Australian Open, so what?
He's 21 years old and has already 3 Grand Slam Titles and another 21 other Titles. I can't remember Roger havin so many Titles at 21, exactly roger had four Career Titles, ATP Milano, ATP Vienna, ATP Sydney and TMS Hamburg...
Correction, Nadal is only great on clay is correct. The spaniard is number one on clay no question about it, but, he is about 5 or 6 on hard and maybe 3 or even 2 on grass!
asssandrokaka, bullshit, even today you guys can't deal with the fact that Nadal is KING on clay but one of the best on hardcourt. Overall the No2 is trully the best there is!!
Zuri, get your head out of Nadal's ass and realize he usually gets his butt kicked on hard courts by the likes of Federer, Chokervic,Nalbandian, Roddick,Murray, etc,etc...He needs to get the most out of the clay court season before the nightmare comes back...
alessandrokaka, you have no way to support your arguments that is why you insult! haha Nadal is with the best hard-court players today! You're talking about the past!
ok...alessandrokaka1...what do you have to say now,..jaaj nadal..won toronto...semifinal in cincinnatti...olympic gold medal..and last I cheked...those are hard courts jajaj =)
I really see no evidence of any of that! You can belief what you like. I find most commnents here are purely speculation!! I rather preffer what is evident!!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!Nadal has won 4 important tournaments on other surfaces during the past 4 years, thats about 1 tournament per year. Is that your argument to suggest he is a great overall player? Weak, weak, weak!
alessandro Rafa has 5 hardcourt titles. But the proof is on the hardcourt tennis he plays today & in the last 8 tournament he has reached SF and F on each of those tournaments except for a QF at Madrid (he won the Malaga Masters in Dec 07).
He is an excellent overall player! You're wrong, it's not my argument; it's information from tennis articles & commentaries that I've read. How many clay tournaments has Federer won?? As for his 5 ATP titles on hardcourt, Rafa hardcourt tennis today is competitive with the best!
NADAL has won MORE HARDCOURT MATCHES than anyone else -- WHY? Where were the hardcourt specialists? Why couldn't they reach finals and semis like Rafa did? Djokovic (winning two mayor titles) did badly in Paris & Shanghai, and again this yr in Dubai & Miami. Rafa has been the ONLY one playing- consistently, high level HARDCOURT TENNIS!
Yet another ATP Master Series Tournament with R&R and again Rafa wins over Rodger. Looking at Rodger play fantastic tennis one can only wonder what makes Nadal so formidable a rival? No excuses Nadal is the man. Remarkable talent and strength.

Alesandrokaka, so you say Rafa has only 5 titles in 5 yrs on hardcourt!! Wow, Federer has 4 titles on clay in 10 yrs. hahahahahaha
So in your own mind that proves he's not good on all surfaces because in 10 long yrs he has only managed to win 4 titles on clay.

Hey, great, none of the others do much on clay!! As for hard-courts he's among the best; as it was demonstrated in his last 8 tournaments!

El7Inca, YES Nadal is the only player who can be called KING of a surface; all the others share hardcourt and grass!!
