  • why isnt anybody clapping?

  • wow, there was no reaction from the audience whatsoever!

  • It's funny how I just about hear the crickets chirping even after he says the price

  • Should include $199 of Amazon credit with purchase. Just saying. Stop trying to be Steve Jobs or give the mic to someone with a better personality.

  • his pauses are freaking awkward!

  • After Steve's presentations this is just terrible...

  • He's more excited about how much content Amazon is going to sell with this thing than the gadget itself. That's why the presentation sucks. They don't have to work too hard to sell something that costs $200 less than the competition.

  • the kindle fire launch speech were full of APPLE employees

  • Dull, lay presentation. Looks like Mr.CEO is not happy about his product. Man, you should have at-least watched a presentation by 'Steve Jobs' before taking the stage.

  • You might be interested in this blog. It has a review of the Kindle Fire vs. iPad

    Enjoy!

  • you know what the CEO is all about ??? its the CHARISMA!

thats why i loved Steve Jobs :)

  • Can i watch youtube on this?

  • @tomtomthepieguy you should be able to through the web browswer...

  • he moves a lot and not much excitement in his presentation, he doesn't seem excited about it at all

  • they even copy the presentation of the IPad !!

  • lol he expected everyone to clap and got denied

  • How much is a Kindle fire going to cost? What's the price of Kindle fire? How much currency can be exchanged for Kindle fire? How many greenbacks will you need to give a person who sells Kindle fire in exchange for a Kindle fire? BIG BUILD UP.... Dah dah....

$199! (sound of Owls hooting and a tumbleweed rolls by...)

  • these guys have no idea how to make a presentation...

  • rip off of how apple does their introduction. That guy is a wanna be. haha kinda funnny how he walks and talks.

  • @ConceptVBS I would expect everyone to be excited for a new release, I know I was. I would have clapped, or at least tried to get people clapping. It looks to be quite a boring crowd.

  • Why don't people clap like they do whit apple products hahaha lol

  • And why did he ask how it is three times?? I that was funny, it does look awesome though and it is a great price, but I like my iPad because I can create content on it, not just view content, but I am sure there will be many people looking for what this product contains.

  • Why don't people clap? xD

  • LOL! What a putz. It's a nice product, but no break-thru.

  • @suskam

Its a break through, true and true.

  • @MillionaireComeUp very true, he really tried to build that up and it didn't work lol.

  • Fail at :37 he expected everyone to clap. He's no steve jobs :) lol

  • @MillionaireComeUp

He doesnt have people who are brainwashed either.

  • @MillionaireComeUp he's behind amazon, kindle and kindle fire. yeah, he is not jobs. he is better. who needs claps all the time, anyway? it doesn't prove anything.

  • everyone knew the price range beforehand, btw. in press conferences, people tend to clap only when they are trully surprised. everybody pretty much learned a lot about the Kindle Fire during the last days, including the price. I'm surprise some people are suprised by the fact that there was no surprise about the price. come to think about it, people don't always put two and two together... so, no surprise.

  • @limafilho27 well i'm surprised

  • That conference is no where as exciting as an apple announcement haha.

  • @raynhevans7 They need fanboys.

  • @ShallowDepression

They dont need third party supporters (aka fanboys) to help sell their products.

    The product sells itself.

  • @ConceptVBS They don't need fans of their products? ok...

  • @ShallowDepression

They dont need early adopters or promoters (aka fanboys) to help sell their product. They can skip these people all together and go directly for the mainstream market as they have such an intimate connection with their customers.

  • @ShallowDepression

@ 199, I actually don't think they need fanboys. The touchpad showed you can forgive basically ANYTHING for a 99 dollar tablet, and at 199 that is almost the same thing.

  • @raynhevans7

Nobody goes to the conferences for excitement. They go for it to see products and prices.

  • $199, no scream....heh
