  • Buffon says the keeper can usually position himself between 1 and 2 metres out from the goal although this depends on the circumstances. When the keeper sees that there are not many players in the goal area he may advance further for he knows he has a very good chance of taking the ball. He must show courage and be cold blooded. If there are many players he may punch the ball as it may not be comfortable to take. Finally it is important to make large surface area of glove to effect this properly

  • I'm no expert in Italian either ; but as much as I know of it and understand ; he's talking initially how he handles crosses and high balls in the box.... Then he goes onto training for young keepers and the basics of good goalkeeping.... Not that easy for me to understand either....
