  • Excellent!!!!!

  • what is the name of the song at 7:30.

  • Jazz is a very technical and difficult genre to play. Rap, however, is the prime example of a devolving people.

  • @fcweddington Devolving people? Rap is spoken word in a way, developed, like other creations of black aesthetics, out of the need to express what was going on. Don't be fooled by this crap they play on the radio now. Rap, created solely for profit and mainstream, is like any other American product created for the same purpose; cheap, untrue and far from its essential elements. Listen to some underground rap. Devolving people? Naw, not even a little bit.

  • @ColorOrStateOfMind I'm most certainly fooled by the crap played on the radio. It's everywhere - mostly material of a negative nature, e.g., money, bitches, money, hoes, money, killing, money etc. Sadly, it's a huge influence. Black/White Jazz, however, has almost always been a positive influence. The timing, dedication, and skill required was something to work for - without the yearning for fame and glory.

  • PBS got a documentary on Jazz thats 4 hour long. It's super great!

  • I love this Pete Rock`s " Searching" version - can anyone tell please who`s done the cover?
