haha this brings back good memories (when i wasn't changing discs and waiting for the game to load!) its crazy to think it was only a few years later and we got the play station 1!
it was solid…but I loved it. I liked the way the levels were, the music…and zool was a kool barstuard! It was just too difficult for me. How good were platform games??? do they make computer games in the same style (ie where it's not all 3d and rubbish) xxx
Hehe I remember playing Zool 1 on the Amiga constantly, the Amiga broke shortly before my 7th birthday, so we got a PC, when my 7th birthday came around my parents bought this along with a joystick so I could play it.
What do you mean a PC couldn't do it in hardware? You mean the music? 'Cause the Amiga didn't do it in hardware either, it used module music which supplied the samples and told the machine when and at what frequency to play them. Software. PC does the same thing just fine. It's unfair to compare this to a sound card's MIDI sequencer, if that's what you were doing.
Such trippy track to listen to when you're high!

i hate to say it, but a pc could never do that in hardaware, not even today.
PCs seem to be about emulating what it cant achieve which is kind of sad really.

Interestingly enough, the MS-DOS version of this game actually used the same MOD music as the Amiga version!

@phizzyphizzy i had pc and had exact the same music. All you need to have is a soudcard

@phizzyphizzy You mean apart from all the bits where it was done by the amiga hardware, i.e everything not a fart sound?
richardmaudsley77 1 year ago
@richardmaudsley77 Heh, you simply do not understand the module music format. Don't challenge people when you have no idea what you're talking about.
