Performance with Djm 800, Fx 1000 + Ableton Live ( Mateus B)

simply amazing mix, i would only recommend to use the HPF less often, it ruins the flow when the bass disappears and is replaced with high frequency noise

well, it depends a lot of what you want U can use the midi out in the mixer to ONLY control your software, in this case, ableton live, or you can route your audio from ableton to a soundcard and then to your mixer to use the efxs in your mixer and in your fx1000, this second one it´s the most used , for example, armin, deadmau5 and ritchie hawtin use it like this way, and many more popular djs . :D

The DJM 800 has the option to control midi as well...it depends how your setting it up. If your just running line out of Ableton or another program into the mixer...just use an external soundcard with 2 outputs running each deck into channels 3 and 4, or whatever you prefer or the mixer.

Why would u have all that gear if ur clueless haha? Gotta learn to walk before u can run man, anyway good luck!

yeah thats what Im trying to do. I have Ableton live and I want to import scratch samples into ableton is this still the best way to hook those 2 up? also once you hook uo to Ableton what good is the EFX 1000?

He does not only use the djm-800 as a midi controller. But as a mixer with one or more audio channels from ableton. One of the good features of the djm-800 is the send/return for external effector and filters for every channel. No nonesense here, now go and save some money :P

fucking sick! i have this same set up except i cant seem to hook up the efx and the djm to the firebox effectively to route the signals through ableton live both simultaneously without fucking the ability to alter the tempo on the cdj-1000 mk3s
