  • Very well played. A minor error at 2:04, but nonetheless a very impressive performance. I don't want it to seem like I'm criticizing the kid, cuz that's not my intent at all. I'm just slightly skeptical of this "rainbow" method. It seems it provides a good starting point, just as long as one doesn't become overly reliant on the colours.

  • wow! that is AMAZING!

  • That green screen is amazing!

  • cuteee

  • Now play Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz ;)

  • i love the way his hair appears and dissapears

  • @ForEverLana I am 15 and I still bang the keys xD

  • @nelz999 18 here :) its a style of playing in my opinion, to the people who try to put too much feeling into the songs my way of playing is bad. to me, their way of playing is gay.

  • @hatch722 it's because there are a lot of comments sayin: are you crazy?/ putting a kid on a car?? that's why -.-

  • @XoXmuffinprincessXoX

-.- thanks captain obvious....it's just so flamboyantly blatant that the people saying that are being sarcastic....you've gotta realize they're joking, unless you're an idiot.

  • wow so cute and talented. Loved the delayed bow at the end.

  • He met Rainie on the Guess Guess Guess show in Taiwan this year!

  • this boy has a wonderful distinction, phrasing, tone ----and CHARACTER in his playing

    Really delighting!

  • very very good! nice job!

  • man i wish i could do that and i'm already 77 years old.

  • What's up with the cheesy green screen backrounds?

  • He looks older them 3

  • hes pretty damn good for a 3 year old but any 3 year old can do this if tought from year 1 or 2, people learn most of the things they kno in whole life in the first 3 years of life

  • its first 5 years but yeah, my brother knows how to play call of duty when he was 2 <_<

  • good job! impressive

  • NEATO!!! MY piano doesn't drive when I play it. I'd practice more if it did!

  • this is FAKE you can tell they used a green screen

  • this is not fake... they only used d green screen for the background...

  • He played the song did he not? Who cares if there's a green screen for the background?

  • no duh.

  • maybe u should become privte detective

  • lol... so many talented asians... but lack of exposure because the world entertainment is monopolized by the west...

  • Yes, there are tons of asians who can play instruments well--however most of them lack the ability to be expressive in their playing as well as the practical skills necessary to do more than just give recitals. Their work ethic is impressive, but their ability to go beyond the written note is not.

  • bradtaylor32, he only a little kid, I would be more than happy to have him as my son.

  • I wasn't criticizing this child, or this video, rather responding to what "moreevilthannorman" commented. I wouldn't expect a 3 year old, or even a 10 year old to be able to play musically.

  • race has to do with musicality?

  • Skin color? No. Everything else, yes. I see my first comment has garnered several thumbs downs. Oh well. I speak from many years of experience working with many different kinds of folks. I find that first generation Asians have the issues I mentioned above, while Americanized Asians have fewer of those issues. I probably shouldn't have said "ability" though. I can't judge that. You can call my views stereotypes, but remember, stereotypes aren't based on imaginary things.

  • Asians are very concerned with precision. Fine. That's a great character trait to have. Many Americans are more concerned with performance. An Asian may come to the US and a play a note-perfect piece to a bored audience, while a more musical, risky and exciting performance with a few mistakes would have gotten more attention. I have the background and experience to make comments like this. If you don't, please don't bother replying in an effort to argue with me.

  • MoreEvilThanNormal actually got it right. Remember when all Miss Universe winners were all Blue-eyed blonds? As we meet other people and get a taste of other culture, we change our standards. As biases are outmoded and finally disappear, you create a new standard of what is a good musician. I do not think "American or White Musicians" will continue to be the measuring stick then.

  • I think other cultures are great. I'm not trying to be biased towards americans. There are great musicians from many many different countries. However, I don't think we should "change our standards" to be understanding of strict, lifeless music. Life must be breathed into the music on the page.

  • Have you seen Aimi Koabyashi's video taken of her playing when she was three? Don't you think she is expressive enough for your standards? Don't you think she is a good performer?

  • Just watched one. Pretty impressive. Good performer, and expressive. I didn't say all Asians play without expression, I said most. And a 3 year old child is not a good example. I'm speaking of those who have the ability to learn expression and understand it. It took me a good amount of true growing up before I felt comfortable playing the music of certain composers, because of the amount of maturity they require.

  • Musical maturity comes to different people at different ages. I don't think you can generalize and say that you have to be a certain age to be able to give life to the music.

  • What is an Americanized Asian? What are you? Are you an Americanized European? Well, are you saying that Asians lack the the expressive and performance genes? Whose standards are we using here. Yours?

  • You are full of yourself.

  • Sorry, but no. I'll take that to mean you've given up refuting my arguments, which would be a good stance to take. When I say I have the kind of background and experience necessary to make the comments I have been making, that is simply what I mean. That doesn't make me full of myself, that makes me knowledgeable.

  • After watching the videos on your channel, I see playing at your church gives you all the credential in the world.

Believe me, you're not the only musician around.

  • I have a masters degree in music, hold several additional certifications, and have played piano for 20 years, among many other things. Don't get snotty with me just because you don't like what I have to say. Yes, there are plenty of other musicians around, and I think most who share the kind of credentials I have would agree with what I'm saying in this respect.

  • @bradtaylor32 do u have a strapped feather behind your red-coloured head?? how many generations are you talking about?? you too are europeans you know....

  • You cannot call regard yourself as an "American" while calling other Americans "Americanized Asian" and such you racist prick. You are a sad and ugly soul indeed. I bet you are one of those extremist individuals out there that wants to assassinate Obama.

  • well, i would say he was good...but hes asian & thats wut i expect from asians

  • hahaaha the background is ridiculous but this kid is absolutely incredible for his age
