@MsJackieLee For starter at the beginning that nonsense " stunt " on the stairs , pulling in his mouth , and he could have pull a stiffle very easily ....... seriously if that is respect , running him on hard top ??? respect to his joints .... just brutal way to ride a horse ; a horse ridden as such would be crippled with artheritis by 10 .... etc

I'm no horse expert but it looks to me that it wasn't planned to happen that way, I think the directors hadn't accounted for the horse (Boris?) freaking at the flashing lights simulating the lightning. They nearly had a serious accident on their hands. I think the rider (Helga?) was lucky not to have been crushed up the wall, and was probably keeping the rein short to restrict the rearing up. I suspect they realised their error afterwards but decided to use the film anyhow.

It does not take a rocket scientist that flashing and a set will upset any horse and for what ???? all that jazz for what ??? some idiotic no class movie ???? that movie has no finesse , no substance , I do not even call it a movie ....people are so selfish and beleive so much in theior crap that they will injure others

You make very valid points, but we live in very enlightened times now with regards to animals and safety but this was filmed for a childrens TV program in 1964 (46 years ago) in the then Yugoslavia and was based on the adventures of a young girl who went to stay on a stud farm. It did inspire many girls to take up riding and it is remembered fondly by many particularly for its theme song. There are many more serious animal welfare issues that need addressing right now.

No it isn't !

This is called White Horse, which was a television programme which was aired back in the mid / late 1960s. The original theme music was sung by Jackie Lee.

If you are looking for black beauty it is on YouTube.

Black beauty was aired in the 1970s.
