  • some really good stuff here

  • good work here

  • some sweet info here

  • Oprah got financially raped by these people in Africa...as would be to be expected from these idiots who can't help them self.

  • actual question at 7:05

  • Christopher Jenkins?

  • Science does not bring truth. It uncovers facts. Truth is subjective. Facts are not.

  • Who the fuck is this guy....boring.

  • Simple truth oprah is anti-christ. she is anti for Christus

  • i used to accept religious people and what they believe in their life. but now in UNITED states at least... americans can not even build a mosque, cant be a free gay, cant have american tax rights cause of the marriage issue. and etc....... reasons. tea gaggers are trying to make this counrty a 1 religion nation. rick perry is winning republican votes through a giant prayer and calling obama a anti american muslim, rick perry is using religion and it will destroy america.

  • people(mainly atheists) always say "theres no proof of god, blah blah blah", i wana see proof that there is NO god.

  • @cropies That is just ass backwards. And if you don't understand WHY then I see why you'd believe in a invisible being that exists outside of reality.

  • 5:20 facepalm. Other than that, Good stuff

  • We have two actual hypotheses: god exists and god does not exist.

This so called "experiment" has lasted for thousands and thousands years and no pro-god proof has been ever found. Well... I have no actual proof of god so naturally I assume that the no-god hypothesis is right; I am an atheist.

With other hypothesis we can take a more philosophical pov. E.g. god is not omnipotent because "Can omnipotent creature create something so strong that it can't destroy it even by itself." etc.

  • Shut The Fuck Up....I would LOVE to debate you on the Existence of GOD

  • @mas03 How very tolerant of you, random religious person. And I would absolutely school you in a religious debate, mark my words.

  • @frankmademedoit message me for my email

  • @mas03 tell me why someone should believe :)

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Oprah is one of the greatest peddlers of pseudoscience out there.

  • @icdrrose "GODLESS and the GOOD LIFE that describes what I believe and how a nonbeliever can coexist, even flourish, with believers"

this has been my point for a long time. "What you believe....and how a non believer can coexist."

You, like all people ARE a believer. In countless things which are no more real by science and reason than any god or gods.

  • Such a shame that she goes off the air without ever bringing light to this. I suppose it's not too surprising though, because people are more naive and ignorant than they are often made out to be... Oprah in particular with her stupid BS belief about "the secret". Then again maybe her realization of how stupid it was (assuming she had such an epiphany) opened a crack of enlightenment in her mind — that's probably too hopeful thinking, lol.

  • you cant prove a negative enough said night all

  • I am a Catholic atheist. I don't believe in God but love guilt-tripping.

  • I would like to see Abraham Lincoln's QOUTE added on the back of The American Penny, (“The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long complicated statements of Christian dogma”), US President.

  • thier is no god

  • @lhorvei Wow.

  • @BentOnTheCross prove otherwise....! and dont say read the bible cuzz i have, and its a great story like cinderella, only less plausible. Only problem is this fake god is - the god in the bible has killed more ppl then stalin, hitler, mao tse tung COMBINED.... yet you worship this 'god' and call them mass murderers? you call the lion king a story yet you call the bible a fact? So humans are a what... POOF MAGIC TRICK???

  • @Nomad22280 I'm an atheist.

  • @BentOnTheCross lol sorry that was ment for some one else lol i just miss clicked sorry!

  • Thank you for posting your video.

  • I'm taping the last Oprah show for my mom and currently, she wont shut up about "god". She first talks about the energy we share than claims "god" gave her what she has then calls this god Jesus. Any follower of religion is irrational but especially one that takes the religion that condones the act they should be strongely against. She's done great things but in her history of telling people they're all special, she refuses to include the godless while assuming there are many paths to "god".

  • Julius Caesar

  • Yes, there are many good religious people, my entire family is - except me. My concern is the very structure of religions that cause SOME to stop thinking for themselves and to have tunnel vision towards other beliefs and those who believe them.

  • @icdrrose Have you ever considered that events in their lives cause them to be comfortable with their beliefs? If theyre comfortable with their beliefs, why should they have to dabble in anyone elses? They shouldnt. People think that the Christian community is closed minded when in reality they are VERY scientific and apply everyday science to the bible. It's unfair to say that religious communities have 'tunnel vision'. Tunnel vision would be expecting everyone to constantly change their views.

  • I do not see AT ALL how religion is affecting education in the least in america. America is one of the most Godless society in the world, especially in schools. What kind of garbage propaganda must be in these books to assert such a lie in peoples minds. Must be an easy way out to blame everything on religion, and not see the blatant corrupt unGodly corporations that have enslaved the american people.

  • @bridemusiccanada Yeah, America is 78% christian. Being "godless" as you say (I see you're being derogatory there) carries a lot of stigma in the U.S.

55% believe in creation "science", 27% believe in theistic evolution and 13% believe in naturalistic evolution.

You're seriously telling me that doesn't make the U.S. the laughing stock of the educated world?

I'm not an atheist, but religion needs to stay away from science, lest we go back to geocentrism and using prayer instead of antibiotics.

  • how about before we get oprah to get propaganda against religion..how about

1.The faults an errors of our governement.

2.Faults and errors of the federal reserve system

3.the tyranny of the oil companies and bottle water companies.

We should start with that..but no...that won't happen. Oprah won't bite the hands that feed her and the entire entertainment world.

I am getting sick of these kind of people thinking removing religion will solve the problems of this immoral planet.

  • I have hope that Oprah will eventually wake up and become a free and happy atheist. Religion requires one to lie to one's self. That leads to delusion. Delusion is not a good thing. Delusion leads to very bad decisions. I think Oprah values Truth and that's why I think she will arrive at atheism in time. There's a great set of videos on YouTube, group titled 'Broadcast Yourself'. The videos feature a guy who shows and tells us of his search for the Truth. I recommend it highly.

  • "Greetings Oprah" ahaahhhahaa

  • Oprah is food for the ignorant masses, intended not to educate them but to keep them ignorant and entertained. Why on earth would the people behind the show follow your advice?

  • everything outside of christ is demonic

  • @judah38 exactly we are built in the image of god and we understand how good feels and act his feelings are inside of us

  • @judah38 everything to do with christ is demonic

  • In my opinion, Oprah would never have any of these people on her show, simply because her audience doesn't represent the demographic that would be interested in these types of discussions. I'm not trying to be rude to those who like Oprah, however, her show as never been, shall we say, directed to the intellectual.

  • Praise Squirtle!

  • Oprah is GOD

  • With NO Technology Means NO Pollution. hmmmm

  • hippy

  • Oprah has of of the most brilliant business minds of the 21st century, and consequently she knows that since her show's demographic is predominantly Christian, airing an peisode about atheism would not be a great idea.

Besides, methinks Richard Dawkins has better things to do..

  • @cheekypants321 *episode

  • God is real

  • @mzoish yes. all worship the one true god, Squirtle

  • Comment removed

  • @OmfgItsHenu That comment took out all my resentment and made me laugh. I wish more people would deal with this subject with humor.

    Thank you.

  • blahahaha WHERES YOU PROFF !!! dumb ass aahahaha

  • @moto123456789101 Probably at home since it's a weekend.

  • Oprah is a business woman. She is intelligent enough to realize that giving space to athiests will lose viewers and fans in the U.S. I'm sure she doesn't want to attract hate mail and death threats.

  • @plato12000 Just the fact that, in your opinion, she'd think that would attract death threats and hate mail is enough to prove that an educated debate is needed to educate those fundamentalists.

  • "there's one area that i think that you need to rethink" like oprah's actually going to see this. lol

  • Well said, a better world, free us all from religion and the fairy tales.

  • @icrrose The term "religious-thinking" is an oxymoron! Any free thinking individual knows the truth! I don't believe in everything Christopher Hitchens says but the tittle of his book which says the religion poisons everything is correct. The Westboro Church (a.k.a. god hates fags) represents the true nature of Christianity. True muslims fly planes into buildings. Religious moderation is a phony bunch of bullshit. Agnostism is bullshit. Choose your side and let the maps of war be drawn!

  • I agree, but religion does not PROVE God either. I'm not interested in arguing about its existence or not, but rather the effects it has on SOME people. If a person is loving, decent, and doesn't put anyone down or harm others financially or emotionally, I don't care what they believe - in private - and I demand the same respect.

  • @icdrrose Eh. Still deserves refutation.

  • @icdrrose The effects you speak of are human nature. Its not the belief, its how each individual responds. You have listed a number of your beliefs you think others should follow and have expressed them publicly. Many disagree. You have violated your own mantra.

  • @turtle4aire you moron. hitler was a catholic

  • Science does not disprove God.

  • @clubsoda69 That's because the only way to prove god false is by death. Something I would include in any religion if I were to create one because it would be impossible to say I'm incorrect, and I would have imperishable followers. There I just disproved god.

  • @clubsoda69 Science does not disprove dragons and fairies either, or that there may be a giant teapot circling a star in an unknown corner of the Universe

  • @clubsoda69 Religion does not prove God.

  • @clubsoda69 thats true. Also God does not disprove science. And science isn't meant to be used for disproving God.

  • There are both intelligent atheists and believers. Having faith, or lack of it doesn't make one less intelligent. Respect all.

  • fuck you.

  • he looks like one of those Nike shoed Space cult People who all committed suicide to go on the comet.

    Hes a smart guy tho.

OPRAH ur "spiritual" nonsense is sooooo beneath someone with your brain power.

  • He looks like Decius, emperor of the ROMAN EMPIRE

  • isn't this the guy from The Who? lol

  • Damn ! your collection of current atheist manifestos is even bigger than mine!!

  • Americans believe in a god because they feel they need something to believe in. That doesn't mean God exists or that he should exist. There is no god. There never has been. People form beliefs first, then go around looking for things to make those beliefs true. No one needs God. Many people in many countries have no need of God, and they still manage to live very healthy, sane, productive lives.

  • Oprah is a great philanthropist but the poison she's spreading in her church is going to undo her good deeds twice or ten times over.

  • Oprah isn't wonderful, she promotes pseudoscience and does way more harm to the world than good.

  • Oprah is a power hungry lezbo (not that I have anything against lesbianism). Her girls school in Africa are nothing more than training camps for little girls to learn how to service other women! They have had more than one problem with teachers being accused of "abusing" students. Most of the time, they keep their mouths shut because their opportunities are very limited, but every once in a while someone will go too far and Oprah has to dole out a shit ton of money to keep everyone quiet.

    -Oz

  • Can anyone tell me, does justice prevail? Why something that has no good intention for humanity like Christianity manage to screw up humanity for so long. The church with its many atrocities of killing witches, killing scientist, inquisition and crusades. A religion that retard people, shut off people's rational thinking and create close minded people is regarded a good religion? I have no confident that justice prevails. Any opinion?

  • Isn't Opera one of those new age theists? Many paths 1 ending bullshit?

  • I hate to say this but I don't think an audience of Oprah's would be familiar with these writings and hold onto the concept of god as they would a snuggle blanket.

Also a forum such as this would necessarily bring out anger and defensiveness.

  • Oprah promoting Atheism? Totaly Unrealistic.. When she said that there are more then one path / Jesus...She was imediately demonised as Satan, antichrist, etc. Refuding God is not the answer. She should educate americans about Atheism. Explane that not beliving doesn't mean eating babies.

  • @Aleksamson please tell me you are acting satirically. Please, for the love of all that is science, tell me you are being satirical.

  • @Aleksamson The trouble is that even if she was an atheist she has to pander to the majority of Americans who believe in the Invisible Man In The Sky. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama is secretly atheist.

  • @lewisner I'm certain she is religious. But Insted of disputing god people have to learn about discrimination that is going on. Incredible disturbing stories from small towns in the south. Must educate people how Atheism doesn't mean comunism,Stalin, Hitler etc. That non beliver can have morals etc. I think Obama is an Atheist - unfortunately has to be in closet.

  • well said and I agree! It's about time Oprah deals with this though I think she is on the fence herself and afraid to loose her audience....

  • muy interesante.

  • hitler was a roman catholic, he said once in a speech how this was gods war and god wanetd them to kill jews and he died on the cross for germany, look it up hitler was a catholic 100%

  • look hitler had syphilis, you can hardly give any substance to his own claims, however it is neither her nor there. what does it matter? atheism is a truth and is not in any way shape or form a source of immorality, you can't name one immoral act that someone can do strictly because of atheism, but it would take no time at all for you to think of an immoral act done strictly because of someones religion. religion is the source of immorality NOT atheism, that is just absurd

  • There are over 40 million of us. We are finding our voice and we are sick and tited of being patronised. We are infinitely better at the art of citizenship, we contribute and get along with people better than any group of faith.

We don't fear hell, nor do we seek heaven. We are much more congenial, and much less likely to ever land in jail. We are the superior ones, yet all we advocate is equality and freedom from all that Jazz aka religion. Lastly, we were all born just fine the first time!

  • Comment removed

  • Christopher Jenkins? who is that?

  • i think the moderates are good people that are so busy living dying laughing crying and working that they go along with the thinkers...which usually are the religious leaders..so i dont blame them as much

  • I thought that was Carlin at first. DAMN!

  • @delada44 so did i.

  • This guys voice bored me to death. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...wha...?

  • oprah all that $ you have will not save you from hell

  • @bravone1

And all of that "loving" superstition and myth won't save you from being a prick.

  • Ordinary people aren't necessarily unintelligent. If the guest or speaker understands that he has a wide range of people listening and therefore needs to use metaphors, anecdotes, and stories to make his points he will get their interest. Then, without talking down to them, he would need to explain things in non technical terms. All good teachers do this. Whomever she'd select would have to be a good teacher as well as an "expert."

  • @icdrrose Great idea. I've just got a bit of advice though. You should add "Oprah" as a tag if you want this video to get more exposure (especially amongst Oprah viewers). In fact the more tags you add (even irrelevant ones), the higher the chance of people finding this video.

  • Pause the video and tell me he doesn't look like a statue

  • Good argument. In my experience, i have found that most ordinary people really don't care about science and the truth, they haven't examined their beliefs critically. People are ignorant and stupid, they think they know things that they do not know, they doubt evolution for example, without knowing what evolution is. This is the mentality of the docile uncritical majority.

  • ITS THE GUY FROM LORD OF THE RINGS!

  • @BasicMobile You mean Sir Ian McKellen? "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!"

  • Wise man.

  • Totally agree. Her influence is like a net cast far and wide (to say the least) don't just give a one-sided argument that people will follow like cows to the slaughter but allow those who have integrity and honor and humility and sincere love to be heard and help to give positive guidance to others. Very well said sir. God bless.

  • Actually she needs to invite Ravi Zacharias, William Lane Craig, Greg Koukl, and Michael Ramsden.

  • You have books?

Oh my, now where would I get one of these? I've been needing a good read lately.

  • what the fuck is this? this isnt oprah

  • well spoken

  • @icdrrose You make many great points. I just wonder if the average television viewer would be able to comprehend and benefit from watching a guest like that.

  • Religion has evolved from a simple idea thought up by our primative ancestors about 10,000 years ago and become a form of Bio-Malware or GODWARE.

Socially transmitted to the unprotected infant mind before a firewall can be built from Life experience and Logic.

Atheism is simply an indicator of the immunity level in any given society.

  • @BCT071 well said sir.

  • GO GOD!

  • The day that he dies, He is in the "Biggest surprise of his life"....... Everything has a "creator".... a watch... cars... etc... How can nothing create Earth... Humans?? This is not by accident.... Our Creator is God... there is a Super Natural World that does exist and is real beyond our senses.... He needs to start reading the Bible

  • @shaniNhector Why do you assume this?

Also why do you assume there is a beggining to what exists? That's your flaw, you assume that if God didn't create it, that it came from nothing. Your proposing questions and saying "well since I don't have the answer it MUST be this".

Is it not fair to say that it's a bit foolish to close your mind to the unknown in favor of an unproven theory?

  • @shaniNhector And you need to start studying biology and anthropology.Bible is a novel. You are created cause your parents loved each other and had sex. Religion is created by people. you dumbass

  • @TheSteaktube

And exactly how did mom and dad get here to make me?

  • I don't see how anyone can think that Oprah has done anything that is good for America. She is a racist and openly treats whites differently than blacks, she sucks money out of the US economy and gives it to other nations. To me, she represents everything wrong with America.

  • adler 12 - I don't think everyone who is a believer is childish. People have different experiences and needs. Humans are not only rational, they are emotional, and our emotions color our thinking. My own family has many people who believe deeply in God ad they are good, effective people. I don't think everyone has to be an atheist, but I encourage them to take responsibility for the consequences of their beliefs.

  • @icdrrose

Its not rational to believe in a invisible man in the sky , that is looking at your every move and judging you , and if you make a mistake in life you will be damned to hell.

PS: and why the hell does this god want me to cut the end of my penis off for,

why is that so important to him?.

Sounds very man made to me .

  • Emotion, expression, feeling, affection, these are all worlds that exude a childish nature. When you think of mature, you don't think of someone exposing a little too much emotion. The religious experience is -entirely- emotional. If there were any solid evidence for God, any whatsoever, we would all be believers.

  • @icdrrose

The fact that they believe in a invisible daddy in the sky will prevent them from ever taking responsibility for there lives .

  • Comment removed

  • Someone get this guy a tissue....

  • if i remember correctly women are more prone to be religous and Oprah knows this. she may be more open to talk about it after she retires the show but i highly doubt it for it could hurt a lot of the good things shes trying to do for she does have a lot of christain/muslim followers and upsetting both groups right now just by having an atheist on the show would probably be career suicide

  • I think John Loftus would be a good guest, and there is a group called Atheist Volunteers. I'd also like to see some of the scientists researching the brain chemistry of spiritual experiences. However, after seeing Oprah get all silly about the movie Interview With the Vampire, I don't think she's totally rational.

  • Are you kidding? No way, she's already under fire for her views on religion which are mild at best. No way is she jumping that fence.

  • You say a lot of intresting and true things.

A problem is that Oprah is sadly, to commercial. i think that if you look at the show's target audience, a lot of them would be religious.

dont think it would be profitable for her to talk about atheism. sadly =/

  • The women gives all she can to advance the human race. She spreads the stories of good times and helps people through bad. Don't smear your hate bullshit because she will help more people in a day that you will help in your entire life with your ilogical crap.

  • REQUIRED? I'd hate that. If you read any of my books you'd see that I believe in empowering others to take responsibility for their actions. My Self-Sustaining Classroom concepts (and reality) enables students, teachers, and parents to do that.

  • Getting an atheist in power in the USA is unrealistic. The best atheists or secular humanists can do is to demonstrate their leadership in their own fields. That's why I'm doing a radio show on Tuesdays and Fridays at 4 PM - PST. I want to prove that there are more effective ways to educate our children than indoctrination.

  • @icdrrose I think Obama is an atheist.....he can never admit to it obviously.....but you can see it irks him to say God bless America at the end of his speeches....he NEVER brings up god during the speech, check that out!

I agree though, an open atheist will never be elected....even though I think all of our government leaders should be REQUIRED to be atheist

  • You have some good point on getting God and Religion out of a persons life. We need to take on the world with a Atheist view point and get some Atheist back in power like Hitler and Stalin to bring back the true way things should be.

  • @turtle4aire It's popular among Christian apologists to claim that Hitler, the Nazis, and the Holocaust are all consequences of atheism, secularism, and liberalism. Such arguments fly in the face of reality: Adolf Hitler regularly proclaimed his faith in God, Nazi ideology was committed to supporting Christianity (on its terms, of course), and Nazi anti-Semitism was firmly grounded in Christian anti-Semitism. Hitler's theism, religiosity, and Christianity are strongly supported in his own words

  • @turtle4aire: Hitler was an atheist? Why then did he regard it as his god-given duty to rid the world of the Jews? Why did he make numerous references to god in his speeches and writing, and even go to the point of having the words "Gott mit uns" on SS uniforms?

These don't sound like the actions of an atheist to me.

  • @paulbottomley42 Hitler was not an Atheist or a Christian as has been reported by many morons,,,he was a very well known Theosophist who read Madam Blavatsky daily,,,he believed in the same teaching as Benjamine Creme look into it its absolutely insane

  • he just used god as bush for example used god, or like maradona used the hand of god. To affect the people. just because bush said he was a christian does it make him so? did his actions portray that of christianity?

  • @dkrto Yes. Remember you're a Christian until you say you are not one. Why go to church eat crackers and pray? Because you sin. And according to you sin = not Christian. I guess Christians don't exist.

  • according to me? when have I said this.... when did we meet?

  • @paulbottomley42

Because Jesus said, "Do not kill" and "turn the other cheek." I could call myself a bear and that wouldn't make me a bear now would it. WHOA!!! Don't get me started I will rip you apart. PWNED!!!

  • @DoNotBeHighandMighty

So you're saying the only two options are Christianity or outright atheism? That's what we with brains call a false dichotomy fallacy. You haven't even begun to address my point that he doesn't sound like an atheist. Pwned? Try answering something I actually said next time,, with something more substantial than flawed logic, before you declare yourself the victor.

If that's the best you've got, I'm feeling pretty safe about the whole ripped to shreds thing.

  • @paulbottomley42

No, you may not understand(because of low IQ) but if somebody acts like(follows the teachings of Jesus) Jesus, then they are a Christian(follower of Christ) whether they are deliberately doing it or not. Just as if somebody doesn't follow the teachings of Christ but calls themself a Christian is not a Christian. Hence my "bear" analogy, if I call myself a bear, that doesn't make me a bear. PWNED!!! You see, if you truly believed in God you would follow the teachings. Ouch.

  • @DoNotBeHighandMighty

Lets get something straight here. I NEVER FUCKING MENTIONED CHRISTIANITY!

Fuck, did you actually read what I said? There are more options that Christianity than atheism. My point was that Hitler didn't seem like an atheist, not that he seemed like a Christian. Perhaps your reading comprehension skills just aren't up to much.

You still haven't addressed anything I've said. I wait with bated breath to see if you'll stop wittering like a fool and say something interesting.

  • @paulbottomley42

Calm down, get a glass of water, relax, come back and well talk. It will be OK, don't kill anybody now.

  • @paulbottomley42 And why didn't the pope excommunicate a single Nazi for their war crimes?

  • @lewisner The catholic church enshrined anti-semitism in it's teachings prior to it's reforms in the 1960s.

  • @paulbottomley42 Hitler was like the thousands of kings b4 them who saw the bible as a means of manipulation in order to get the things that he wanted accomplished so he twisted it to gain power.. that said i dont beleive in tradition or any bull like that.. and i thank this man for being so kind and calm in this video... but i accept jesus as my lord and savior no matter what..

  • @MJSPOOKY Hitler was in all sense a totalitarian. Not a king, dictator is more sound.

  • @paulbottomley42 If he really meant it, he wouldn't be trying to hurt His people.

  • @adrimare1

Last I checked he wasn't trying to hurt his people; he was trying very hard to get them back on top after a massive recession caused largely by the Versailles Treaty, and the humiliation his country suffered due to that same event (and, y'know, failing hard in the Great War). He wanted Germany to be a (the?) major world power and his people to be wealthy and happy.

...Its just that what he defined as "his people" was a rather narrow strip of the population.

  • @paulbottomley42 When someone capitalizes 'Him,' they're usually referring to God. If Hitler was really Catholic like he was supposed to be, he wouldn't be trying to kill God's people. Technically we're all His people, but the Israelites were the original People.

  • @adrimare1

I did wonder why you'd apparently deified Hitler. I must have been very tired. :)

Still, I do think that there's no real historiacal basis for saying Catholosism and anti-Semitism are mutually exclusive. I suppose it really comes down to how we describe Christianity in the first place, and what makes a "true Christian". Its great that you think Christianity shouldn't be violent, but I think many people (certainly historically) who believe in Christ and the Bible sadly disagree.

  • @paulbottomley42 Unfortunately, in the past, it's been more of a problem of education and the Church taking too much power and getting corrupted, especially since they started making the whackiest interpretations of the Bible ever and at some (many) points just made stuff up that was completely against it. Most people then couldn't read the Latin that the Bible was then in. There were no translations yet. so people just listened to what the Church people read.

  • @paulbottomley42 Ever since Mr. Luther came and fixed the problem and the Bible started being translated into languages people could understand, and especially after the printing press came out, making Bible distribution easy, people have been able to figure out that they've been going about it the wrong way for a while now. I think God is happier now.

  • Yes. I've been thinking about this a lot myself. She has overlooked an entire area of highly intelligent atheists authors. She's seems so smart but I think she's too wrapped up in all the woo-y stuff like spiritualism. Education is being suffocated by the religious and this is dangerous to society. More scientists and doctors and biologists are needed more than ever to help on the planet. We need rational critical thinking more than ever.

  • "Education is being suffocated by the religious"... this is an american phenomenon... what she needs to do is look outside of the states... i guess most americans need to do that...

  • @dkrto unfortunately it is happening all over the world.... it is not unique to the states but the religious there are the loudest and with the most power. it's a tool to controll the mindless masses. the uneducated don't have a clue.

  • Sir i agree wholeheartedly. And i'll be reading those books, thank you for bringing my attention to these works. I'm actually doing my school speech on how Fanatical religious beliefs threaten the advancements on human rights. I Bought Hitchens's "Portable Atheist" and "God Is Not Great" and will be reading them soon.

  • @TheRavenNFLD

Hehe you sound exactly like some Mormon converts I once met. SO ironic!

  • hahaha WHAT~! XD

Nah never been religious, just young and exploring the scholarly approach :P

  • @TheRavenNFLD

At Borders I put "God is Not Great" right next to the book "God is Great" in the Christian section for Lawlz.
