100 years today....... it is amazing how the world has changed and not for the better. God bless you Karl & Zita may you rest in peace for all eternity.
Pariahs!!! All ''royalty'' are and were pariahs but, as long as they have the support of the royalty wannabe's they will keep on bloodsucking the peons and the ignorant. No wonder that Sissi got shot and killed, so did the Romanov , the Brits killed each other and French faggots got the ax. The best joke is that fag from Monaco descendant of pirates, who reigns over a piece of rock. There's too much stupidity and ignorance in the world.
@theintelligent1973 Are you an idiot or what? Don't you get it -- all the people are long dead and buried in this video. If not they are at least 100 years old or more. I guess to have compassion is something a poor ,lost, hard hearted fool like yourelf wouldn'y understand. People like you only see the royalty, the fancy wedding etc...while I see the ordinary people and wonder what their lives were like...how they lived, loved, and spent their lives.
Are the child running out the building is Louis of Bourbon-Parme, one the brothers of Zita? And is the curly-hair child looking around in the crowd is Gaetan of Bourbon-Parme, her youngest brother?
Karl looked somewhat ungainly but he and the stunning Zita were clearly enthralled with each other in spite of it being an arranged union! To think in just 11 years, the Empire would be dissolved and Zita would be a 29-year-old struggling pregnant widow having to provide for their 7 children. Yet, she'd live to 97 and see her children+ grandchildren prosperous.Living well is the best revenge!
Truly superb, the quality is stunning! It's like being there!! A rare jewel, thank you so very much for posting. These things make youtube a joy to use.
@kanwulfNL Kaiser is the German word for emperor, so there were two Kaisers, one Austrian, one German. The Kaiser associated with World War I is Wilhelm II, the German Emperor.
However, Franz Joseph lived into World War I, and Karl I was the Kaiser who saw the Austrian Empire collapse.
Ist eigentlich irgendwo mal Marie Valerie zu sehen? Schade eigentich...als Kaisertochter war sie doch sicher auch auf dieser Hochzeit?...Danke fürs Posten! - erstaunlich gute Aufnahmen für 1911!
Thank you so much for posting this video!! This is just too fascinating!! I just love the ladies' dresses and the young girls with bows in their hair are just too pretty!! What a beautiful wedding!!
Karel I. byl nejlepší císař a král Rakousko Uherské monarchie a po Karlu IV i král Českého království, jen neměl čas ukázat své přednosti.Deux,Rex,Patria
i dont know besides the jewelery and dresses and stuff it doesnt look like an "Kaiserliche" wedding! it looks so nice and not like its so strict or stuff
The man leaning forward to take a bouquet at 2.17 and on the left in the final moments is the Archduke Franz Ferdinand whose assassination was to spark the Great War.
Thank you for this video!

@Malvina1987 Only ''royalty'' wore fine dresses at that time, the populace wore rags with holes and were starving to death. Get an education!!!
