@Supermassively Bro, if it weren't for the Soviets, we would have never 'liberated' Belgium. By opening up two or three fronts, we separated the German troops into three. In the Battle of the Bulge, over half the troops were European. We had barely enough troops to fight the Germans on the western front.

I think the problem is that many tourists are from the USA, where multi-culture rules, many Americans (not the majority) tend not to respect nations that are steeped in their culture and history and have been for over a thousand years. Most Americans are respectful, I believe and I think - coming from the UK - that many Brits let us down, but not normally by disrespect such as ridiculing a guardsman; that indicates coming from a dysfunctional family.
