Why do they take the windshield off? I've never understood that. Is it just an alternative to AC or something? It seems like it would create a ton of drag.

The baja 1000 hummers are completely overhauled, and not stock, the ppl that hate hummers are talking about the shit that GM calls a hummer at the dealership.

They actually aren't that different. Engine, suspension geometry, body is all about the same..Suspension gets more travel, and larger tires, but otherwise not much changes. Engine's got non-stock exhaust and a better intake, but otherwise is the same as stock. Powertrain is near-stock. Body gets some weight reduction, safety glass and a cage, but otherwise is near-stock.

Actually these are stock class hummers. Not those trophy trucks with the fiberglass bodies and custom frames.

So good they DIDN'T have to "overhaul" it.
