I'm really tired and bored with the self-indulgence of those who "interpret" the Star Spangled Banner rather than just sing it as it was written. Mr. Gay was a fine artist but he should have known when to leave well enough alone, and the audience is not cheering for the song but their own sense of being "hip." Sing the SSB straight, or leave it alone.
