@dirtbikeracer24 Are you on crack? the ones in the full size 3/4 ton and up will always be inlines. What you mean is the engine they are designing for the 1/2 ton isnt an inline. Dont believe me look it up, you can find it pretty easy.
Lol. Aww. Looks like somebody got their little pink panties in a big ole wad. And, for the record, you ignorant idiot, I'm far from stupid. So, because the guy in the Cummins got smart and turned his front wheels, that means he got a cheap shot? And if the guy in the Power Stroke would have done the same thing, what would that have been? Fair game? You're biased, and you're going to create every excuse in the book. I like Ford, but it's the people like you that ruin it for me.
You can talk to anyone who deals with diesel that talks to me. I'm all Powerstroke and a cummins but i find it hilarious how a bunch of people think that a truck is superior to another over a simple pull. Especially one like this.
You can look at any truck pull, no one turns for traction. It's a straight up match meant to determine who has more parallel force. A combination of the interdependent power and traction. If you were smart, i'm sure you would realize this by now.
More over, if you were smart you would know that i'm not biased towards the ford. If i were biased towards the ford then i wouldn't have a reason as to why I believe what I do. There's no such thing as biased with fair reason... I have a fair reason to believe what i believe. I'll dumb the reason down for you one more time.
It's a cheap shot because in any real tug that actually serves its purpose, no one steers their wheel. Power and traction.
@GigaMinion Goodness. You're just annoying. For one thing, idiot, I'm FAR from stupid or any other degrading word that may pop in your little pea brain. Another, you ARE biased. Hell, I'M biased. Do you even know what biased means? I'm kind of surprised you spelled it correctly. I don't want to see anything beat a Dodge, but I can take it when that happens WITHOUT making excuses. I concede, I've never seen them turn their wheels to get traction. But, a win is a win, dipshit. :)

ummmmmm those were both really nice good looking trucks i wouldnt do that if they were mine.(Cummins and Powerstroke are both great motors) you can tear the shit out of em fast
@GigaMinion How is that a cheap shot? I mean winning is winning and you do what you have to. I mean is it cheap if say the dodge uses all of the horses/torque under the hood and the ford only 3/4? No just the fords fault for not trying hard enough.
well it's quite easy you bunch of dumb asses. Both of these trucks broke their traction if you pay the hell attention to it and not play fucking stupid. Therefore both engines were doing their job, the tires weren't because with the position that they were in, they weren't getting traction. So the guy in the cummins decided to find more traction by turning the front wheels from side to side to find more traction, it's a cheap shot because it couldnt win straight up.
lol. thats dodge didnt pull shit. the thing was just spinning and the ford just sat there. but every once in a while, you see the dodge move back a bit. i think the for guy let the power off a bit and that let that dodge take it like 2 feet. then the ford put power on a gain and stopped the dodge in its tracks.
I saw one at Yankee Lake, This 99' Cummins Dually, was beating everyone, then this like 85' Powerstroke came in and yanked once then, yanked it and took the Dodge's U-joint off, it was worth the $5
No such thing as an '85 powerstroke, powerstroke engine didn't debut until half way through 1994. Before that they were just IDI 7.3's and the 7.3 didn't come out until 1988 so the 1985 you saw had the 6.9 diesel in it......unless it wasn't the stock motor.
they way to always win is have less wheel spin thats why you never see the big truck pulls were there just saming on the throttle until they get going but this was a good pull both trucks are great trucks.
These pull offs are pointless,,it just comes down to who is getting the traction,,I've seen plenty of pull offs between dodge and ford(not just videos on youtube) and it just goes back and forth to who is getting better traction,,ford vs dodge vs chevy is besides the point, they all have there strengths and weaknesses
Goes to show how big of difference tires and weight can make. You want to see the true test of a truck put it in the oilfields of the four corners or the arctic. Ford will always take the cake. The reason is you can't test a truck pulling on another truck, you have to put them to the test of bumpy roads, cold temperatures, river crossings, you know the stuff trucks were made for. Not burning tread at the local drag stripp.
I have seen the axle go. My boss shattered his lockout and twisted then shattered his front axle on his 99 F-450 doin tug-a-truck two years ago so he must not be smokin something too harsh.
I'm a dodge guy, but its all about what truck is going to find some traction, its anybodys game. So relax with all this cummins is the greatest horseshit. You rednecks!
Most truck manufacturers actually make the driveshafts a tick lighter-duty than the other components so they break first. What's easier and cheaper? New driveshaft, or new trans or axle? Smart ey?
wow, what a bunch of retards. you people do realize that pull offs is more than who has the most power right? its obvious if your the one that hooks up, it is almost a given win right? so until there is a match where both trucks are equal and are on the same surface videos like this one are pointless.
thats yankee lake but why waste your time the when the real truck nite is at FIREBALL and looks like a banks sticker to me but so you know you can call banks and just order a sticker for 6 bucks not being required to order anyhting dieseltruckin awesome that you put that clown in his place but i do have to disagree with one thing im a huge fan of banks i think they got some really good shit thats my opinion but hey everyone likes different companies
WTF is "branks" ????? Must be the same thing as "brinks" like you said in another comment on another video. It's proof enough that you're a dumb dyslexic fuck who "thinks" he knows about things but you don't. FYI, it's BANKS, no R, no I....B A N K S. And Banks SUCKS!
For the record, how do YOU KNOW that they are powered by Banks? Can you "hear" the banks programming? Just like you could "hear" bully dog programming on another video? LOL, stop commenting...the only thing you know how to do is misspell words.
You called me on that, but it means nothing. You get those little gay ass stickers when you buy an intake, exhaust, or a bolt to replace one that broke with their kit....Banks sucks, and the Cummins still won.
Banks adds power, but for the price they charge it doesn't provide good gains. You can get much more power for much less using other vendors.
What sound are you talking about that the Dodge/Cummins makes vs. a Semi engine?
Most Rams CAN do burnouts, although some of them (when stock) are equipped with what is called "torque management" which the ECM will not allow the truck to burnout....it's not that the truck "can't" do it....
Are you talking about the loud squeak? If so, that's the belt squeak, happens when the engine shuts off, the high compression stops the revs so quick that the belt sometimes squeaks from the sudden stoppage of the pulleys.
Yes I know that sound, and it is completely NORMAL! The engines are shipped to Dodge WITH the belts already installed idiot!!! IT IS NORMAL and NOTHING is wrong with it. Stop posting comments, you do NOT know your ass from your face!
It is belt/pullies squeaking, nothing unusual. It's normal, slug. I agree with DieselTruckin, and so does everyone else on youtube. You should stop posting comments, you spread nothing but misinformation and bullshit. Just knock it off already.
We don't know if it was on banks programming, or just a banks exhaust, or intake. It could but just a banks exhaust, with no programming. Could be banks programming and someone else's exhaust. Never know.
Also, your 98 (if it is a 24v) and 01's do have ECM's as they are electronically controlled engines vs. the 98 12v and down are mechanical engines. Torque management is only included on the newer 3rd gen trucks. The inability of those trucks to do a burnout is likely due to an inefficient torque converter.
Ford is a better all around truck, but the Dodge doesn't "suck" they have come a long, long way since the days of old. I would rather have a newer Dodge/Cummins because they beat the crap out of my beloved Ford diesels but I can't afford one right now.
