  • funny choice of words.. mmm, rickashay, this business, mmm, the meat.., permeable, mortobelle, braids of hair with malases burning in the sun, mmmm, workman-like-fashion

  • My upper back is begging for this.

  • Crepper_!

  • I want that massage so baaaaaaaaad :(( T-T

  • Molto bene! Ahahahhaah

  • Im imagining how good that feels :-)

  • business? what BUSINESS? this is really strange...i don' t go to the massage therapist for my "business"! and "mmmmmm" that's creepy! otherwise useful technique

  • Creeeeeeeeper

  • This niigas smart as hell usin those big words lol

  • He wants to work on your buisness...but only for a minute.

  • This therapist makes all the others look like amateurs. As for the "thumbs" comments, he addresses this in the comments of another video, it's for demonstration purposes only. In his daily routine he doesn't use his thumbs to this degree.

  • He's lucky the body is so svelte and supple! So many are thick and tight, making it difficult to accomplish this!

  • Very nice deep pressure technique.

If there was one thing i would do differently is the overuse of the thumbs. Believe me you want those to last because after a couple thousand massages they'll be useless. Perhaps soft knuckle instead.

  • This looks like it feels SOOOO good! I can't wait to try this in class next week!!!!!!

  • the client is so skinny, lol. no fat to hide the muscle underneath at all. great choice for demonstration purposes.

  • Great VID, I think this is exactly what I need post car accident, the Therapists I've been to don't seem to get this... I'm going to show them this video!!!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • it's so hard to find a massage therapist who knows how to do this effectiviely. please help!

  • I want to marry this man! How amazing this must feel! Mmmm!

  • LOVE this video. i'm a student and have watched several videos on here to supplement my learning... and this is one of the top ones :) can't wait to see more!

  • Lengthen the spine, free the neck, balance the head atop the neck and ears over shoulders. It is great to keep the latissimus dorsi at a lengthened state. I have discovered that this muscle pair has adopted a shrunken state because of my once poor posture. They actually pull down on my shoulders as I otherwise lift up. Now that I am in the midst of a program to lengthen this muscle pair I have realized that it is the reason for my inconsistent and poor posture.

  • mmMMMmmmmm...

  • THIS is a massage therapist. Wow.

  • This looks amazing. My upper trapezius is the region that gives me the most trouble in terms of tension and discomfort.

I'm so glad there are people that enjoy helping others like this.

  • @lildragongirl19 do u get neck pain and headaches too?

  • @TheYaom Fortunately, no. The specific areas targeted in this video, particularly the trapezius nestled close to the shoulder blades, are where I seem to develop frequent "knots" and sensitivity to pressure. Since I've become aware of the specific areas my tension builds, I've noticed my shoulders are more relaxed. I suspect a combination of college stress and backpacks are the prime suspects for me. :)

  • @lildragongirl19 oh my trouble areas are upper back, mid back, shoulder, neck and of course many time head (OUCH)

one thing I've noticed is that the more I move the less pain I have, if I lay on my couch doing nothing for sure I'll get pain....

  • gonna wear out those thumbs

  • by far my favorite therapist. i love his attitude, energy, knowledge, and of course manual work.

  • If they give a Nobel Prize in Massage, this guy should win it, hands down!

  • Superb! I concur, he is an artist!

  • I have viewed alot of massage techniques on You Tube & your tutorials are excellent!!! Great detail with which muscle is being worked on. Love the examples braids & molasses I'll remember that lol thanks heaps :o)

  • YOU ARE AN ARTIST.

  • Great video I learned something I have to get my girl to do this I wish I knew a guy though...

  • The saddle joint in his thumb has got to be shot!

  • @b5tucker I agree! there are other ways to do this work with fists and elbows in order to save your thumbs.

  • Хорошая школа!Спасибо!

  • This guy's a frickin' artist...I love it! Moto Bella!

  • how do you spill molasses in your braided hair?

  • its a metaphor, a bad one. i guess lol

  • i am a cmt and i love this video! i would love to get a massage from you. what area are u located in? are u in the bay area? nice work w? incorporating the clients participation in the session as well. A+

  • seeing how the therapist palpates the rhomboid minor and upper traps makes me cringe...I have that annoying little tender point begging to be touched!

  • nice use of terminology, i bet you pick up all the ladies

  • Anyone else notice how he randomly says "MMMmmmm"

  • naughty

  • @karekare13 lol;o)

  • @karekare13 Omg i lold when i heard it

  • superb form bro. I wouldn't use the thumbs quite so much but it is kind of hard to get good friction without them on the L.S. I love this vid. I am def. putting this in my tool box.

  • Thanks for sharing. Great video and descriptions.

  • I love this video. I have never found anyone as descriptive and aware as he is.

On a side note, I love the simile he uses with the molasses and hair. I was totally with him on the first part... and then, as he continues with it, he sort of loses it, but completely plays it off. Good times.

  • How can I find a massage therapist that does this? I keep paying so called professionals who say they can do this type of work and they don't even begin to get into those knots...they are just skin rubbers! I am in NJ/NYC area.

    C

  • See a physical therapist. I am a student in PT school and we learn all of this. The advantage of going to a PT is that 1) if you ask your doc for a prescription, you can get insurance to cover you and 2) PTs are more anatomically and professionally trained and 3) PTs focus more on muscle tension and decreasing tone instead of just focusing on relaxation and "feeling good." Also a PT can identify problems you may not have realized contributed 2you feeling sore or tight and help you correct them.

  • Massage Therapy is also covered by most insurances. MANY massage therapists (of course not all) are highly anatomically and professionally trained. Hopefully, ALL MT's focus on muscle tension and decreasing tone, and that ends up being quite relaxing and feeling very good, which is not a bad thing. I'm an LMT, and I work with clients who also see PTs with so-so results. So I really believe it depends on the practitioner and their own skill level.

  • i want all massage therapists out there to watch this video and learn. i have been telling my gal to do more work like this.

  • you're good man!

  • This is one of the best massage vids on you tube.

  • take off your ring!

and use too much thumb, which can lead to tendinitis etc. but still good bro!

  • this guy is pro yo

  • that looks like it feels sooooo good lol

  • Thanks for sharing this information, it was therapuetic just by watching it. :)

  • wow, this guy is incredible!!!

  • wish it was me on that table

  • FOR REALLLL

  • let's hope he takes on tennis & golf elbow..

  • Nice!
