Shouldn't really be pushing it to 8600 rpms with a stock valvetrain. May be ok every now and then. This is from their site,
"Any increase in RPM limit though is at your own risk. If you suffer engine damage that is related to excessive revs Honda/Acura will not cover your warranty. If this of a concern, upgrade your valve train or use a program with a stock rev limit."
@sydbaldivia Do not get an RBC manifold without Kpro it's useless and the relfash does nothing to improve the perfromance of your car with an RBC manifold. With the race header you will run lean but it will take prolonged amount of time running lean to damage your engine (You wont know how lean you're running without a dyno). Also the reflash doesn't make your car run any richer or leaner than stock it keeps the air/fuel mixtures the same as stock. What changes everything are the mods.
hah im kinda late here braa but yeaa you can make it into a kpro if you didnt know this already and it will be waaayy cheaper now that you have the reflash, you have to get the order form at clubrsx(dot)com and send in your ecu again and get another tune but it is well worth it my friend, well worth it.
ummm theres no k-pro for my accord:( lol all i just want to know is how do people program the computer of the car or whatever is it that they do to it to make a "reflash" or "unchip" or that im just really curious
Thats not all it does... It gains about 15-20whp depending on the mods of your car. You have the option of having your VTEC engage at 5200rpm and not 5800. And if you choose your rev limiter at 8600 instead of 8200rpm. Its an ECU programer. The Kpro Kit is more expensive but your able to dyno tune it to your mods as you get them unlike the reflash. Reflash you have to send back in if you want proper tuning to your mods.
it doesn't give you 15~20whp, but it only gives higher rev limiter and vtec engaging point at 4.5k rpm. hondata doesn't even offer options for vtec engagements and etc..
it def does NOT give you lower hp/tq because vtec kicks in at 4.5k rpm, so all of sis(reflash and w/o reflash) have same/VERY simliar low-end power, but it only gives really good amount of power between 4.5k~5.8k rpm.
why i say this? because i have one and got dynoed.
Wow your an idiot you are discribing the K20Z3Iam discribing the K20A2 so Iam not wrong Here is exactly what I was talking about straight from HONDATA.12-20 peak wheel hp from a stock RSX depending on the dyno and modifications.15-20 ft/lb torque increase between 2500-3500 rpm.Peak torque now at 3200 rpm on an unmodified RSX.VTEC dip eliminated
Very flat smooth torque curve.95% of peak torque available from 2500-8000 rpm

uh ya. it does mess with mpg. ecu upgrades means that they change air and fuel ratios and etc. the ecu is programmed to take in more fuel and etc, resulting in less mpg. if u wanna save mpg, and u dont want ur cat converter along with ur spark plugs to be burnt, stick with stock ecu.. :D
dumbass. reflash doesnt change a/f ratios, all reflash does is lower vtec, plays w/ ignition and cam maps are changed, and you get better mpg w/ kpro, i jumped from 220miles to the tank to over 250 after i got my kpro tuned, shut up

@sydbaldivia You're almost correct. They recommend not putting on a race header (catless). Shorty headers are fine.

see clubrsx or a local dealer they will make you pay the other portion and you will lose your ecu for a few days

what kind of tires did you have in this video?!?
chromerimz323 2 years ago
KPro does not require a reflash. KPro is its own separate unit that connects to your stock ECU (which controls the dash and electronics).

can you have reflash and kpro?

rgmartin2003 3 years ago
It's pretty much changing the ECU's tuning tables
KA240SX808 3 years ago
and if you dont mind me asking how do you do that? i wish a could learn to do all this.. id love to do one to my car too..
Dani01c 3 years ago
Was the Flash is a pre-tuned ECU, look into Rom tuning and the K-Pro if you want to be doing your own tuning

you may be a little confused. hondata makes kpro.

lower your vtec engage point
raise rev limiter

Oh and also it gains more torque in the low end. I think between 2500 to 3500rpm where hondas are gutless it adds more pull to it.
ViolentEd13 4 years ago
wrong wrong you are totally wrong.

prove it noob. send me the dyno.
even if rsx-s is different, low-range would be same as non-reflash and reflash cars..
if you say vtec kicks in at 5.2k rpm, then both of cars' power and tq have to be SAME until the reflashed car hits 5.2k rpm.
and again you are wrong :D lmao
samx109 3 years ago
wrong wrong you are totally wrong.
IT DOES 12-20 peak whp from a stock RSX DEPENDING on the DYNO and MODS.
15-20 ft/lb torque increase between 2500-3500 rpm.
PEAK TORQUE at 3200 rpm on an unmodified RSX.
VTEC dip eliminated.
Very flat smooth torque curve. 95% of peak torque available from 2500-8000 rpm
Please don't post if you haven't used more than one dyno, they can range greatly
