  • Ehm, you can't do CF because you're injured. How did you get injured? Maybe you need to re-evaluate your logic. If you think women can't lift 135lbs you're ignorant. If you think you need to be working out for 2-3 years or be a pro athlete you're ignorant. CF can be scaled to everyone's level of fitness. If you can't get your head around that you have no business offering advice on da intrawebs. It might help if you actually got informed about something before offering ignorant advice on it.

  • @rjgertz1 Fair enough. I trained a friend who had been in a Truck accident and was told he would never walk properly again back to health with CF. Deadlifts, squats, etc. and a few weeks later his back pains had diminished so much he barely noticed them. This video however is just proof of how much idiocy can be said out of ignorance and trying to be smart.

  • I am a woman who does crossfit. I'm 5'6 133 lbs and I'm up to 80 squat presses. I eat healthy, and treat my body right. I am completely addicted to the rush I get. I will never allow my body to be as ripped as some, but I enjoy it!! If you have a trainer that knows what they are doing as well as being mindful yourself, I see no problem.

  • @Misskellye26 not to many people can afford a trainer, and doing crossfit is extremely dangerous, you cant just go into the gym and start a crossfit training program you will injure yourself. unlike some training like bodybuilding where all u have to do is go on to a youtube channel like these guys and you will be well on your way to a way more effective workout for building muscle and burring fat

  • The trend I have noticed is tmw dislikes squatting, deadlifting or most other form of difficult , productive movements done by successful strength athletes since caveman times.

  • You don't have to be a professional athlete to do crossfit. When I was football player in High School my coach incorporated a lot of crossfit workouts in our off-season routines & most of us were able to do it without "snapping some shit up". However, to be honest if all I did was just weight lift & walk on a treadmill at a steady pace for 45 minutes, I would have shit snapping all over the place, lol. So if your just "looking to build some muscle mang" just do what the twins do.

  • I totally agree with everything you said except for the women not being able to lift 135lbs over there head and stuff. My mom has been lifting weights for over 5 years and she does not take steroids, she can easily bench 185, and squat 275. This is not a troll comment, just a fact I needed to state.

  • i agree with this vid, 2 of my friends are extreme fit, they started cross fit ( cult fit ) and both in the first year of getting into it: one did his knee and the other did his shoulder. its also a bit competitive at the studios, so i would think people are pushing themselves beyond their limits and the result is "snaping all kinds or shit".

  • crossfit isn't really designed for buffed bodybuilders, it's more for athletes, it's very good for athletes, it makes all the muscles co-operate alot better, wich is important in sports, and of course, it burns those calories off as fast as hell and gets you in really great shape. but as you said, it's not for everyone, especially non-athletes.

    but if you can take it. it's good as fuck!

  • I tried Crossfit for a couple of months last year. I was really pumped about it because of all of those videos and info on the website. At that time i was also very bored with my workout so when I decided to try it, it was like WTF. This workout is shit. There were times when two consecutive workouts were pretty much the same. Day 1 - 225 lbs deadlifts for time, Day 2 - some crazy circuit workout for time involving many squats and powerlifts, Day 3 - 6 miles of running... what the fuck is this..

  • I disagree, in boot camp, mct, and mos school in the usmc, crossfit was the exercise program that was used and preferred. I went in at a slightly athletic weight of 185 and I slimmed down to 165 in a matter of 3 months. True its demanding but you don't have to be a pro athlete to do crossfit. Just be in reasonable shape and start low like all exercises.

  • @ilovehonda20 Because it is based on skewed logic and misinterpreted data instead of actual practical programming. Google "Crossfit: The White Papers", it illustrates the CF timeline and why it's basically made up science. And yes, I have done CF before, under a supervised CF coach.

    Read it before anything else.

  • @ilovehonda20 because they put emphasis on speed over form, which is a recipe for snappin' shit up fast. and because they aim to appeal to a large audience, specifically people with little to no fitness experience, the risk of injuries is a lot higher than if it were a niche trend for trained athletes.

  • @xXJeReMiAhXx99 You don't have to do "Butterfly" pull ups. I prefer dead-hang. They do Butterfly because they claim it's easier on your shoulder since you're doing a fluid movement without pausing and it's a quick turnover for max reps. I agree that dead-hang is better but, butterfly is just as effective, technically speaking at least. At the end of the day, it's personal preference.

  • @jbrpiner i disagree yes it's personal preference which one u want to do but doing the "butterfly" are not gonna make the lats develop nearly as good as if u did real ones just go watch some videos of people doing butterfly none of them have good backs that even compare to a guy who can do just 20 real ones
