I was introduced to Laugh-In when Nick-at-Nite aired this in the late-80s/early 90s. Since I was in the fifth grade at the time, all the jokes went over my head :)
SO fun!!!!! Yes, more, more, more!!!!! I can remember rushing from my part time job at the bank on Tuesday nights to get home in time to watch this show!!!!!
@millerman88HH Actually this show was funny -Back then people had fun -these televison show today have a very sick sense of humor and a lot of them are gross and disgusting especially the adult cartoons-it shows had television has degenerated and what type of sick society we are living him-Bring back shows like Dean Martin-Flip Wilson and Rowan and Martin's Laugh-IN
@curtisjones400 Okay, perhaps I was a bit unfair - after all,I DID watch and enjoy the show as a young man. But come on - It hasn't stood the test of time really, has It? And as for South Park being 'sick and disgusting' - don't you think It's the people and organisations which the show exposes & parodies that are sick and disgusting?Mormons,Scientology, bent Politicians, greedy movie 'stars',etc? South Park EXPOSES a sick Society - don't judge It purely on the 'swearing', that would be puerile.
A people that willingly puts its face in the shit can every day can scarcely be expected to have a very elaborated sense of humor. Enjoy life in the caves, CroMag.
Goldie is a comedic genius. Through daftness her brilliance shines through just enough to end up making you feel lightheaded & dizzy. Her often nonstop laughter seems so uncontrollable, yet she can stop on a dime to drop impeccable lines. Her timing is so amazing, as good as any actor ever. I never thought, she is dumb. She is a great con, a magician, a performance artist. She is being as acting as being as acting. A whirl of a girl, a woman on top of her game, a fire that burns a bright light.
hilerious!! I adore goldie hawn, her one-of-a-kind laughter is infectious. please upload more "laugh-in" clips, including as many of goldie hawn as you can access.
@cuddlesfreeman they would usually hold up Goldie's cards backwards, upside, etc; (or there would be something else on them). She would not be able to read her lines when her turn came & burst into laughter, giggling.
i work for the producer of this program, hes awesome, and have TONS of pictures from the program hanged all over the building, even is an special place with goldie only things, like a barbie doll and the green bikini and the body paint awesome vid
this show was always funny in english. now that the networks revolve around "Reality Tv." we no longer air nice variety shows like this. The spainsh channel has great shows like this. That's all i was saying.
No, I never discoverd the victim's identity...and I find no evidence on any Laugh-In websites. But I believe my friend, a TV audio man (not on this show), who told me back in the 80s. One piece of odd evidence may be that at the close of at least 1 syndicated show, a person's face is blurred out and obviously edited. But why? Perhaps her family is still suppressing the memory; who knows.
I'm surprised that no one recalls how Goldie got the job on Laugh-In...it's not mentioned anywhere on the net. The original actress (soon forgotten) was tragically killed after only the first few episodes and it was kept hush-hush in the news. That's when Goldie came in 1 month after the show was on air.
The show "You Can't Do That on Television" definately was part Laugh-In with offbeat humor of Monty Python. This clip takes be back to seeing it on Nick at Nite in '89!
I love this but does anyone know who posted the goldie hawn singing "the ladys a star?" I really like that song of her and I want to know does anyone have it?
Since she "played dumb" so well, she got away with a lot of double entendres that the censors never noticed. It takes a smart woman to play that stupid.
nope, GOLDIE HAWN was'nt HIGH, she only tried marijuanna once in her life and she had a massivly bad reaction! she was just a free spirit (still is) and had (and still does) fantastic comic timing. She is a legend her movies are timeless!!
snuggy2004: no, moron, she's not high, but obviously, you are. This was her "schtick." She was/is a pro. Far too many 20-somethings see stuff like this & instantly think it's drug-induced...like y'all would know. Didn't your Hippie parents teach you better?
come on! these were the 1960's-70's - if she were not high on drugs, she probably had a couple of drinks during the show with her mates! whaddya think?
i know in france for instance (thats where i come from), i saw many a show where guests et al had good fancy bottles of wine available at the table!! (not anymore though, politically correctness is in value now...)
The Joke Wall segments were always a lot of fun. Sometimes the joke worked and sometimes not. Espec. loved when someone missed their cue and the joke fizzled..or evolved into something else..with everybody throwing scripts around, slamming the little windows, and generally cracking up. Good times. Thank you!
No need to be at all to Goldie. She was very infectious, in laugh and style. I didn't have time to have a crush on her-she was so damn funny and played the ditzy blonde so well (she was all of 22!)that looks were secondary to her comic timing.

Well, up to a point. She still looked pretty hot at age 56 when she made "The Banger Sisters" -- no small thanks to makeup artists, subdued lighting, diffusion filters, and not too many closeups!
