its not a swordfish looks like a black marlin, and swordfish do get this big cus we caught one on a surface longline it was 380kg after we had cut the head and fins off and also removed the guts so it proably was 430kg,18ft long with bill and it took four of us hand fighting it three hours to get it along side the boat it bent two of our one inch stainless steel lifting hooks straight it was a mission to land it but we got it so yes it is real and you can boat them with the aid of a sea door.

Listen, i am a very active fishing angler...And I agree fully about not eating every fish you catch in the water...But no one has the right to say that fish angling is a bad thing. Usually, big fish like this are sold to companies, or when they are done taking pictures for bragging rights they throw them back... But if you caught a 100 lb. Halibut, wouldn't you want to have some of it? Be honest, it doesn't hurt to keep good sized fish. Thats why there are marine based laws for angling...
