Greece's debt issue is a Euro-currency issue. Eurozone was designed by bankers: ECB's #1 mandate is battling inflation. Nothing about development or employment. It's insane to have a common currency without a common fiscal policy. Greece is the first to go chronologically but ALL the others will follow, with mathematical certainty. Greek state sector is corrupt and Greeks evade taxes but then why are other, tax-obedient countries in the same hole as Greece? Because the Eurozone is a death trap.

BTW, it's not only the government. In a reportage I've seen and heard that it's normal to bribe doctors and there was a shop selling products without the VAT included in it.. in Holland those practices would be unthinkable.
Also the Greek shipowners didn't pay taxes, maybe it has changed now..
