Yellow squash (about 5ft) Butternut squash(about 5ft) carrots (in totes). 16 califlowers. 6 Brocolli about 25 garlic but only like 5 onoins made it :(
Anywa my 2nd garden (at halfway house is doing awsome!
Very nice lettuce! When you harvest all the lettuce for your upcoming week, how do you keep it from wilting? Do you wrap it up in a baggie with a moist paper towel? Also, do you plan on growing lettuce indoors at all once it gets a bit warmer and more difficult to prevent the lettuce from bolting in the heat?
@ASFx2600 I just put a dry paper towel in the bottom of a plastic container and then put the lettuce in on it. I prewash and chop it before putting it in. I am thinking I’ll be using my Aerogarden to grow lettuce in the heat of the summer indoors. :0)
That looks so tasty. I started my lettuce seeds indoors using compost and wormcastings. I also used worm tea on it. The lettuce we grow tast so much better then what we can buy in a store.
Girl, Praxxus may be the tomato king, but you are the lettuce queen!! How do you do it?? lol..Your salad greens are so pretty & healthy..I cant keep the bugs from eating mine. Where do you get the fish emulsion & how do you mix it up & use it?
@kokonutbaby1 I just bought a gallon of the fish emulsion at Lowes and you only use a couple tablespoons per gallon. Then you just pour it on and/or around the plants. Also, when I plant them I use lots of my worm castings from my worm bin (I have videos of my bins). When I do get a few bugs, I use my homemade garlic spray. I have a previous video on that too called aphid control from 2010 May 9th. Hope this helps. ~Jeri

When you harvest the leaves, do you just cut back the leaves on top?
Thanks for sharing!

@marthale7 I harvest the outer leaves. I don’t harvest from the center because that is where the new leaves grow from. Thanks for watching. :0)
