I don't know why there's this overwhelming majority of people who think you get better just by shooting more. When I started clay shooting nobody told me a damn thing, yes I eventually got better but it was annoying, I wasted days and boxes of ammo shooting and having no idea why they were bad shots. I wish I had had someone like this to give me some basic pointers.
Me and my dad go clay shooting. I never had to do any of this. I did not hit my first clay. My dad just told me what i was doing wrong, and soon i was able to get at least 20 out of 25. Shooting clays is very simple if you do it that way.
Practice only makes you better when you are doing it right. If, you do the same wrong thing over and over. Then, you will become better at doing it wrong. Good video.
Thank you very much for the tips, i am going clay pigeon shooting for the first time on Wednesday. I thought I'd get a rough idea of how to do it. Thank you again!
i find that if you use clays and have someone behind you they can see wether you re behind forward ect and also if you vary things eg stance and if you close one eye then try it open. one major thing is confidence, i always get downhearted when i miss so just stay confident and dont think about it to much
Good vid, but i just usually like to learn from my own mistakes at this sport and it works for me cuz if i use someone else's method i shoot like crap
Fanstastic. Teach him to shoot with a moving farm tractor downrange! lovely!

If you watch Tom Knapp's video on types of forward leads, this video makes alot more sense now.

This pupil is a thick twat. Every time the instructor asks if he's got it, the bloke says yes and then proceeds to get it wrong.
