@nakaboruc Do you mean the backfire/afterfire? It's cause by an incomplete combustion process (by having improper fuel:air ratio.) To much fuel will cause it to be sucked out the exhaust, and since the exhaust is so hot, the fuel will combust in the exhaust shooting the flame out of the back and making that popping noise. To much air, and not enough fuel, usually will cause it to shoot backwards (in terms of engine operation) into the induction system, causing the same noise, w/ no flames

@jogga123 I actually thinks WRX sucks.. Its all folks that drive super expensive 4wd factory rally cars, that dont take any risks to damage their expensive toys... I appreciate the guy with the 350Z, the Opel Manta and the beamer. Just slightly chipped street cars, in which they have to work hard to keep up. Thats the sport !

Officialy it isn't a WRC, but is a very upgraded Gr. A Lancer Evo IV. With sequential gearbox, other chassis, powertrain, etc..

It also is a very reliable car, so he scores good for the championship.

I'm curious; the white e30 in the beginning of the video has sparks coming from the tires. Why is that?

And the sparks are because of the tyres were worn after a long stage (±18 minutes) and because it was the third stage that they drove after the service.

When the tires are worn they reach the steel in the tyres and that is the reason of the sparks.
