By trying to make the world a better place he went mad with power. As a result, he killed who ever he wanted dead. Truly he was briliant, but in the end he was a lonely boy who killed alot of people, watched his dad die, killed his best friend later realizing that is was a mistake, and lost his own life to his own game. I liked Light, but he was smart enough to know what happened when he lost the game.
