How about preaching on how women need to dress modestly too? I can't get over how many women come to church looking like they have just been stripping in a strip club. The Apostle Paul never married and lived a godly life. He remained celibate his whole life. Not every person- male or female- is blessed with the gift of singleness, but there are some who are. It's wrong for churches to shame singles who never marry. As a minister I believe that as long as a person is living a godly lifestyle he/ she can stay single without being called a slacker- to tell a single man to "man up" because he is single is wrong- this is busy body behavior.
Another thing- i used to live in Charlotte NC- I went to 6 different churches there. Every church single single group in the big churches i went to had two times as many single men as women. 1/4 of the women were single moms. 90% of the men had never been married before and many were still virgins- i doubt many single women were still virgins! Now who are the ones who need to grow up and mature? HUM?
Men have a problem with commitment? Really? 80% of divorces are instigated by females not males. Women have multiple children by multiple men. @embracingreality to see women's role in the church in Scripture, look no further than 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 2. In these texts, you will see that women have jobs in the church that are distinct from men for a reason...men can't do them! As a pastor, I really hope you are able to look among your church body this Sunday (assuming there is one that you BELONG to and are a PART of) and see how many wives are there of missing husbands. Not because of sex in the marriage, but because the "man"

@embracingreality is too wrapped up in himself to be the man of his household (Ephesians 5) and too love and support his wife as Christ holds up the church. I guess that would take too much commitment for the "man" to accomplish. I see a sparse number of men in churches who indeed lay down their lives for their wives, and treat their church as their wife. And you say "sex is the one thing SCRIPTURALLY we can't do outside of marriage?" I am going to assume you know the ignorance of that...

No fool, I'm not "hurt" I'm a survivor. I've dated lots of Christian women and found most of them lacking. More importantly though I constantly hear from the divorced and still married but unhappy men(most) I know who warn me against marriage.
I quite literally feel like I've won the lottery and want to tell all single men how they can win too!

- The sexless marriage is very common and wives gain an average of 40lbs in the few years that follow a marriage.
- Close to 50% of marriages end in divorce and women initiate divorce 70% of the time and the reason given is "No Fault".
- Some studies show that most people who stay married aren't happily married.
Even Christians.
So besides "balls" what's your challenge? Having blind optimism?

Because A) I'm a student pursuing Behavioral Therapy. B) 40lbs that women gain is usually due to pregnancy or depression because of the husband showing a lack of interest. The bible speaks that we should join a church for support and the chance to help others on a larger level. Even Jesus took on disciples. If Jesus surrounded himself with friends and like minded men and women, then so should we.

The problem today is that we try to search the scriptures for that "freeing" loophole verse that get's us out of having to go to church when if we look at the scriptures as a whole, there is not ONE person in the early church that would have argued against the idea of everyone needing to be apart of that community to be truly living the full Christ following life. And just on a side note, no statement in there implied church as a salvation/relationship requirement. Keep it up, Perry! :)

I will need to weigh up the Scriptures on that final comment,Jesus Christ is the church and the truth,no denominations required only that you be born again in the spirit of the Lord and there are a few out there in fellowship to encourage our faith.A relationship with Christ does not require a church,read the Bible.
