Shit Food stamps are the tip of the ice berg for the banks, I just read that the move for the States to go strictly electronic on paying welfare is going to add a couple billion dollars a year to the banks.

A welfare recipient could lose as little as $15 to as high as $140 in fees when the electronic cheque goes into the account.

The $140 fee can be attained if the bank lets the person have overdraft, so let the poor person go into overdraft & then steal what little money they have to eat

@sonofscars I would say that your paying more for that person's time it took to grow the food more so than the food itself, atleast that is how it use to be. Some communities in Utah pay for there items with time rather than money. Money is a means of exchange but some people have fallen in love with with money instead of what it truly represents; a person's time and energy.

@carterrk money is a killer man. and people arent willing to work hard as much anymore ebcause technology does it for them. msot jobs are internet or computer based jobs than traditional ones. food is still there being produced the natural way but without the same care as it once was. WTF!?!?!? NOBODY should be profiting from foodstamps. WTF is a private bank even having anything to do with foodstamps anyway??? It should handled by an agency of the government like the Treasury Dept or the Department of Agriculture. This is fucking ridiculous.

So what if JP Morgan makes money hosting the transactions of Food Stamp Debit cards to food for the poor and cash profit for the vendor??

It saves the Gov. money in not having to print and distribute the paper stamps that use to go out.
