lol @ fletcher being world class. let's not get carried away here, lads.. he's a solid team player who seldom shirks his duty. far cry from world class, but very useful notwithstanding.
im a united fan but have lost patience with fletcher, he gives the ball away every time he gets it and he is dodgy in the tackle. Id rather play the veteran paul scholes instead any day with anderson just infront of him.

He has been nowhere near our best player. Ronaldo, Rooney, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Van Der Sar and even young Anderson were better than him last season. I'd much rather have Anderson and Ljajic in the middle next season after Christmas, and that's saying something!
Petrucci is a trequartista supreme, heir apparent to his ex-Giallorosso idol Francesco Totti. Still, once acclimatised to his milieu, Djuricic will be the creme da la creme of this prodigious crop of talent churned out by the Utd Academy.
Djuricic hasnt signed for United and I haven't seen any evidence of his class tbh.The lad Aleksic for vojovidina looks more exciting. And also Petrucci hasn't been performing that well for United in the academy. He is now 17 and if he was as good as Welbeck he would be on the UTD bench by now. Also Federico Macheda is streets ahead of Petrucci as well.Petrucci didn't even start vs Chelski in the academy cup.
Djuricic's transfer to Manchester Utd has been agreed in principle. If you recall the Adem Ljajic and Zoran Tosic saga, the move was rubberstamped 2 months after news broke of their signing.
Macheda streets ahead of Petrucci? That's blindly subjective. Macheda is your quintessential penalty-box predator, but Petrucci possesses far more in his repertoire. I also hasten to add, Petrucci has only been in Manchester since July, so don't jump the gun too quick.
I haven't jumped the gun on Petrucci, I think he is a good little player, but sadly I don't think he will make the grade at OT, nothing more than a Fletcher type role for him in the future sadly.
I think other youngsters like Rafael,Fabio, Macheda,Evans and Welbeck have a better chance of making it.
By the way, are you sure Djurucic is on his way to Utd or is that just paper talk. And do you really rate him that highly to be the créme de la créme of the current youngstes?
They are completely different players. Petrucci is a link player and he has been playing great in the role. He is perfect technicallly and his play is not all about goals.
Have you seen much of him? I'm just curious as to his progress and what he's all about I haven't seen him at all...do you think he could be something special?
I haven't seen him play a full match, but when Macheda was having his headlines last year it seemed that everyone with the club would always mention Petrucci's name along with Macheda as if they are both sure things for the future. If Petrucci wasn't hurt towards the end of the season he might have appeared in the last league game which was peppered with youth/reserve players....
He's going to make it. The real question is how good will he become. He plays in the Rooney position so it might be a while before he breaks through, but its inevitable IMO!
I'm sorry, but seriously, don't you understand english? Fletcher has been one of the best player for United this season, I haven't talked about Petrucci. I definetely think Fletcher is world class,

Carfer22, he may have played games in Rooney's position but he's actually a midfielder.

Fail. Fletch has been one of our best and most consistent players all season. Do you even watch the games?

Petrucci has been performing exceptionally well for the academy, looks too good for this level.

Fletcher has been one of the most consistent and important players for Manchester United this season!
MrJesusX 3 years ago 3
Yes and the point I was making is that he isn't a world class midfielder- like people are labelling PEtruccis potential
dazzaq07 3 years ago
I'm sorry, but don't you understand english? I wrote that Fletcher has been very important for Man United, I was not speaking about Petrucci.
Btw - Fletcher is a world class midfielder, he has grown a lot the last two years.
MrJesusX 3 years ago
Oh rite, I thought you were saying Fletcher was world class. In all fairness I would be hoping for more from Petrucci than Fletch. MY bad...

Flecther has been class these past 3 seasons. Just because he hasn't cost the club £20m it doesn't mean he is sub-standard.
