  • our choir sang this song.. and we nailed it! earned second :)

  • My choir class is singing this song...and we're all intimidated by the speed :( such a beautiful song.

  • one female singer is really above in the first 10 seconds... ruins the whole song =(

  • i don't agree with the interpretation...but the singing is beyond superior...good job ~ ! :D

  • kissssssssssssssssssssing???

  • Regarding speed -

Cambridge Singers do it more "flowing".

    King Singers - faster.

18th Century? - Yes, (I read your comment) but remember, YOU are the musician.

The King Singers do a more masculine (yet

    lyrical) performance.

Cambridge - are just simply lovely and tell

    the story well.

Your performance was great, but slightly

    machine-gunnish.

  • OK - I'm not sure I agree with the interpretation, but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE everything else! You are getting a GREAT choral education! Good facial expression, vocal line, phrase, good

"message" (you "told the story"), and Frankly,

just your basic performance was EXCELLENT.

    I was moved.

    and Thank you.

    ( :

  • good performance, but not a very good interpretation English renaissance music. too much text painting. text painting wasn't used widely until the baroque period. it was sung very well however. allow the dynamics to imitate the melodic line, rather than having terraced dynamics. that comes a century or two later. :) and tenors, remember to stay high on the third at those authentic cadences! overall, great performance. i assume you recieved a I.

  • Cool!

  • i dont really like this one

    the song sounds betr slow

  • the tempo is fine. perhaps a click or two fast, but this should CERTAINLY not be performed slowly. that wouldn't be authentic performance practice for an english madrigal.

  • when they sang in unison at the beginning it sounded really loud and heavy for a madrigal

  • They're really enunciating everything, using lots of dynamics as well as speeding up and slowing down in weird spots...plus the fact I think their mic is not working properly? They sound like they're really bitter about the kissing...haha. It's well done, but stylistically...very odd.

  • Yes, I agree with some of the above comments.

    - mic

    - possibly too harsh on "kissing"

    - opening unison a bit harsh.

    (etc.)

    Over-all I liked this performance.

(Below comments) - This is a show choir?

Yes, I can see how they are probably REALLY

    great as a show choir.

  • haha. no 'Park Singers' is all i can say.

  • Maybe that's because the Park Singers are a show choir...?

  • show choir?

  • I YouTube'd "Park Singers" and all these videos of a show choir showed up... lol so sorry I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

  • ha, no worries. nope we're not on youtube i'm afraid!! i was just saying we're better, i'm biased though. ha. these people are great too.

  • good guys.average girls. Kinda corny with the big consinents but over all pretty good.

  • its a madrigal...i like the tempo it went. we are doin this in our college chamber group also and its gonna b amazing!

  • We did this for our college chamber group, i just have one suggestion and that is when you sing "when the fell a kissing" don't speed and slow down that part of the song, other than that, it was good

  • kewl

  • Very nice! Great energy and dynamics. I liked the hard consanents because they were spot on, no stuttering.

  • Nice.

  • Very very nicely done.

My choir is singing this for our spring concert.
