Yes computers can do alot these days and they have shown alot of promise thru drone strikes etc, but as the research goes into having unmanned planes counter research will go how to disable those planes via electronic countermeasures viruses etc... so man will be in plane for at leanst next 100 years.

On base we had war games goinon and the A-10 shot all 6 MIG 29s down. That tells you the A-10 is better than a MIG. A-10 is nice n slow and manouverable.
This plane is nice and all but you can't compare it to a fleet of F-22's when there's only 1 Su-37 left and the production ceased. su-35 and F-35 go nuts. But not with a plane that never entered mass production.

I've seen the worlds best, and video you will never see, or I can reveal. The F-22 Raptor would shred any Russian jet, including any of the SU' class. They have a radar cross signature of an albatross, any F-22 could see these "Russian super-jets" from a hundred miles away. The last thing they would know is the split second they died.

The F-22 Raptor would kick the crap out of the SU-35. The Raptor is more maneuverable and it has stealth, The SU-35 would be dead before closing within 100 miles of the Raptor. If it did manage to go head to head with the Raptor, The SU-35 still looses, It can't out maneuver the Raptor. The SU-35 might be able to head to head with the F-35 joint strike fighter, but that is a very big might, Since the SU-35 Doesn't have stealth, and could only fire by sight, unable to lock on the the F-35.

@Ouija121085 The F-14 Tomcat and the F-15 Eagle has never lost to any fighter including the Mig-29. Which by the way the design of the Tomcats and the Eagles were copied by Russia. Look at the migs right after the F-14 and F-15 was made. The F-22 has some minor flaws thats why production was canceled but it's not a bad things. It will come back in a better platform. Unlike Russias Migs and Suknois that you won't even know the flaws because they censor it to the public.

@wainspoten US airframes look pretty good, I really like how F-22 Raptor or, for instance, F/A-18 Hornet looks, I think they look much better than any other, including russian, BUT, in airframes russia has advantage over any other country about 10-20 year no mater how it looks, it is fact, no matter what you, or anybody say about it, just look on maneuverability and everything just clicked into place. About monopoly of several companies and etc., it is just theory, look on practice.
@Ouija121085 i thought the term 5th generation is reserved for the aircraft design type and not the avionics and software...those get updated all most yearly on some jets..the only true 5th gen plane out there is the Sukhoi PAK-FA(hope thats right) and its pretty much a straight copy of the 22 with minor tweeks in some of the design aspects..
@0013kaos just found up the 22 is now also considered 5th gen..but avionics dont just make it automaticly 5th gen..the f 35/PAK-FA/ and the J-20 when and if they come off the pipe line will all be considered 5th gen..22 is the only operatonal 5th gen..the design on the SU-37 is considered 4th gen like i said..

Back in 1996 a single SU-33 off the Kuznetsov has violated Israeli Airspace during a training mission. two F16s were scrambled to intercept. they have moved in for visual id and the SU-33 tried to evade, they have been sitting in his 6 for a few minutes before the Flanker decided he goes back home.

Че вы спорите? Среди истребителей 4-го поколения лучшим был признан Су-27. Заметит его раньше только истребитель 5-го поколения(F-22) за счет более новых технологий. Су-37 истребитель поколения 4++. Russia was the first, to have thrust vectoring, on an aircraft. A feature that our United States Aircraft Companies, now uses on the F-22 Raptor. I saw that on the military channel years ago. It's no joke Russia is no joke, they make good stuff.
@MrJennings85 Thrust vectoring was use by thr USAF before the F-22 was even assembled. The USA X-29 in the 80's has thrust vectoring and a FSW(forward swift wing) design 30yrs before the Su-47 Berkut.

Well people, I served, and fought, USAF, Nuclear Weapons Specialists.
I've seen the worlds best, and video you will never see, or I can reveal. The F-22 Raptor would shred any Russian jet, including any of the SU' class. They have a radar cross signature of an albatross, any F-22 could see these "Russian super-jets" from a hundred miles away. The last thing they would know is the split second they died.

( Iraq & Iran war through 80's "this is fact" every singl F4's and F5's shoot down by Iraqi Mig 21 or Mig 23 ) Iraqi Mig 25 shoot down Iranian F14's and( US F18's & F16's and RAF Tornado's shoot down by Iraqi Mig 25 and Mig 29 in second gulf war 1991 ) Iraqi Air force lost a number of aircraft but the reason was the density of air coalition aircraft and jamming on Iraqis aircraft radars no more ..

The F-22 Raptor would kick the crap out of the SU-35. The Raptor is more maneuverable and it has stealth, The SU-35 would be dead before closing within 100 miles of the Raptor. If it did manage to go head to head with the Raptor, The SU-35 still looses, It can't out maneuver the Raptor. The SU-35 might be able to head to head with the F-35 joint strike fighter, but that is a very big might, Since the SU-35 Doesn't have stealth, and could only fire by sight, unable to lock on the the F-35.

@Ouija121085 - Listen "buddy" - as a former crew chief in the USAF, I know what types of systems both aircraft have. The stealth technology the F-22 has puts it in a class of its own. While the SU-37 may be a tad more aerobatic, the F-22 IS the most advance fighter in the world. Period. As far as the SU-27, the F-15 Eagle would dominate. The United States has and has had the most advanced military in the world since Russia fell over 30 years ago. Get over it...USA!

Your fighters used to get their arses kicked by Skyhawks here in NZ (pre-KAHU avionics update at that). Do you know why? Skill! The hyper-developed killing machine is only as good as its weakest link. Oh, and before you ask...15 years accumulated experience, 9 of which on fighters.

@Ouija121085 The F-14 Tomcat and the F-15 Eagle has never lost to any fighter including the Mig-29. Which by the way the design of the Tomcats and the Eagles were copied by Russia. Look at the migs right after the F-14 and F-15 was made. The F-22 has some minor flaws thats why production was canceled but it's not a bad things. It will come back in a better platform. Unlike Russias Migs and Suknois that you won't even know the flaws because they censor it to the public.

secondly because the US have other means for taking out air defence systems and planes are only deployed afterwards
Thirdly because the Defence market is monopolized by a few companies which lately are not even compeeting against each other

@wainspoten US airframes look pretty good, I really like how F-22 Raptor or, for instance, F/A-18 Hornet looks, I think they look much better than any other, including russian, BUT, in airframes russia has advantage over any other country about 10-20 year no mater how it looks, it is fact, no matter what you, or anybody say about it, just look on maneuverability and everything just clicked into place. About monopoly of several companies and etc., it is just theory, look on practice.

@Ouija121085 i thought the term 5th generation is reserved for the aircraft design type and not the avionics and software...those get updated all most yearly on some jets..the only true 5th gen plane out there is the Sukhoi PAK-FA(hope thats right) and its pretty much a straight copy of the 22 with minor tweeks in some of the design aspects..

@0013kaos just found up the 22 is now also considered 5th gen..but avionics dont just make it automaticly 5th gen..the f 35/PAK-FA/ and the J-20 when and if they come off the pipe line will all be considered 5th gen..22 is the only operatonal 5th gen..the design on the SU-37 is considered 4th gen like i said..

Back in 1996 a single SU-33 off the Kuznetsov has violated Israeli Airspace during a training mission. two F16s were scrambled to intercept. they have moved in for visual id and the SU-33 tried to evade, they have been sitting in his 6 for a few minutes before the Flanker decided he goes back home.

USA will colapse within couple of years since China pretty much owns US economy. Russians have booked more space time outside oribt then any other nation on this planet taht is a fact. Russian Proton rockets are best in the world even NASA uses them to break orbit. Russian military is top of the line sure they were on hiatus until 2000 but they are back.

Че вы спорите? Среди истребителей 4-го поколения лучшим был признан Су-27. Заметит его раньше только истребитель 5-го поколения(F-22) за счет более новых технологий. Су-37 истребитель поколения 4++. С "Раптором" ему тоже не тягаться. Другое дело Т-50. Че там намудрили пока мало кому известно. Те кто кричат "ой как плохо" или "ой как хорошо" в действительности ничего не знают. И еще не скоро узнают.

Russia was the first, to have thrust vectoring, on an aircraft. A feature that our United States Aircraft Companies, now uses on the F-22 Raptor. I saw that on the military channel years ago. It's no joke Russia is no joke, they make good stuff.

@MrJennings85 Thrust vectoring was use by thr USAF before the F-22 was even assembled. The USA X-29 in the 80's has thrust vectoring and a FSW(forward swift wing) design 30yrs before the Su-47 Berkut.
