  • ¨cracktros is really loveable and i do remember when we moved away from cracking to doing demos and games in 89 but i still followed the cracking scene etc :)

  • I can remember two crack intros from C64 that I've not heard since childhood, one was for Airwolf and the other was for S.S. Basketball unfortunately my commodore disks were eaten by my old dog, anyone remember those two intros? other than that I remember laughing that game I had I think it was called Squish Em' was cracked by "Chester The Molester"

  • OMG,8,1

  • Holy hell, the memories! Lets see if I remember my commands:

    Change screen colors

    POKE 53281,1

Load cassette tape into tape recorder...or was the following command for the 5 1/4" floppy reader. Quick...where's the nybble notch so I can make my floppy diskette double sided!! Opps, I spilled soda on my floppies!!! Quick, throw it in the dryer. True story! It worked!

    LOAD 8,1

Anyone else remember any more of the commands?

  • Simply fxxxing AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEEESSSOOOOOOOMMMMMEEEEE :)

BTW: TRIAD @ 6:22 - the source of the sound, futurely known as "dub step" :)

    SYS 64738

  • Fairlight 2.44 AMAZING !!!

  • Does anyone remember the intro where little pixel people would walk onto the Basic screen and screw around with the numbers etc?

It may have been an intro from Little Computer People...

  • Dunno exactly why,but I literally loved those C64 crackers intros, both graphics effects in parallax scrollings and music. :)

I still love them and I also gladly noticed that their styles are still quite popular in the keygens of nowadays. ;-)

    My fav tune : 1:50 =)

  • This is pretty amazing. There's a lot of creativity on display here...

  • for great amiga crackintros go to cracktros . com !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2 people didn't know what the sys code was to launch these cracks.

  • will those be in .sid or a simple pc understandable format?

  • they are in .sid format, you can play those with sidplay2 for example.

  • is there an sid to mp3 or wav converter?

  • You can save the sids to wav from Sidplay2.

  • omg i didnt see that, thanks !

  • 4:00 xD !!!!

  • what?

  • that DD intro was done by my cousin!

  • coooool !!!

  • I have over 1,000 disks for the c64. I ran a BBS and had a great file section, is it worth me pulling it out of the basement and accessing any files. Im sure I have every demo for every crack group out there. I spent hours on end back in the day download the latest from Europe BBS system to my system in Ontario Canada. Had to love phone phreaking back then.. lol

  • Nice collection...

But i miss some really big groups...

Hotline, Red Sector, ACE, BB, Wanderer, Yeti Factories, Sharks, ACE, AFL, ECA, FCS, GCS, Plutonium Crackers, NEC, 1001 and so on...

  • ESI #1

  • survivors intro cool with the platoon pic. shit i think i have all of these. was big in the c64 bbs scene in toronto at that time. used to trade with lots of guys from europe. i should get an x1541 and find some of the NATO, IKARI, TGI, FBR stuff I have. nice vid btw.

  • Aww, EagleSoft! That takes me back... ESI. I remember a few of these, although not as many as I expected to. Good stuff!

  • 10 PRINT "Love the great old time ";:INPUT A$

    20 PRINT "Love " A$

    30 END

  • Any onw know where i can finde the full version of Fusion intro 1:50

  • google SOASC, its an mp3 collection of every sid file out there.

  • and dont forget to google CSDb,

its a database of the c64 demo scene, to find out the possible filename/ artist name of the sid files.

  • Hi!

If you need the song only, you can find it in

the HYSTERIA c64 game. I can send it if you don't have this cool game from 1987

  • Thanks! Some I remember, some I don't. These guys were working HARD to outdo each other...I paid for maybe 5 games over 5 years, downloaded the rest of my games at 1200 baud.

  • 1200 baud, I remember that plug in unit, I thought life was great when I got a 2400 Baud.. woo hoo LOL

  • This video reminds of an instance in my typing class back in 98 they STILL used apple 2es and some of the games were cracked by the "Evil Optimus Prime." They had intros before the game started. I believe one of them was one of the carmen sandiego games and in it the cracker said that one of the programmers left an obscene f off message to any would be crackers in the floppy itself.

  • Not a bad display of sound and graphics f

  • 1:50 till 2:20 Shivers up d spine!! If someone knows d name of d Tune from d LASER cracktro, PLEASE message me..

  • Holy shit, when they load up CCS, I thought to myself "these guys have everything figured out"

  • What has become of those cracking heros of my former days? Rich computer programmers?

  • Hell yeah! I remember several years (early 2000s?) back when I first tried to use VICE, I loaded up Maniac Mansion, and it emulated the game perfectly. When I saw the Eagle Software intro (6:41) being emulated perfectly, I *cried*. So many forgotten memories. =)

Though, the Papillons intro has the best music ever, and the TRIAD intro's bass wall is just, I don't know, badass? =)

  • I remember one with skulls shaking like maracas on the music beat, but I can't remember which hacker group did that.

  • i remember a loader song that sounds like an eric claptons song.. which i dont know by the name.. lol i kno i aint just helping but maybe someone would ring a bell

  • Cracked C64 games often had AMAZING music. I am dying to find this very long piece that (I believe) was the intro to my cracked Gianna Sisters.I used to have it on a cassette tape and listen to it all the time :P

  • oh - the good old times =)

  • Some of that had cool music, no doubt.

  • I think I've seen all of them:) long time ago...

  • 3:34 nice version of Comic Bakery ^^

  • I think Dynamic Duo created a later one that looked a little bit more advanced. If I find it, I'll link it.

  • awesome

  • The first track sounds familiar, does it have name? BTW, awesome effects, nearly amiga500 quality. :)

  • Hit the long one!

Good vid, too bad the video quality wasn't higher but the sound kicks ass. Master Of Magic was by far my favourite SID tune though. Next to Commando.

  • do this kind of music have a name? i love it!

  • SID music specifically (the sound chip used in the C64) or more broadly "chiptunes". Check out the High Voltage SID Collection for more. There's a lot of junk in it, but a lot of good stuff too.

  • okej thanks! :) I gonna check it out now.

  • That last ESI Intro almost made me jizz my pants! I love that song! Anyone know whats it's called or what game that intro is on?

  • Maniac Mansion

  • Hey could you please, pretty please post the full ESI intro to Maniac Mansion on Youtube? I have been looking for this song for so long and I would like to record it and use it as a sample on a project I'm working on thank you! Even better can you get a midi of this song?

  • Mounty Mick's Deathride is the name of that song, its on csdb/sid/?id=10345

  • I'm not sure what game the first ESI intro (around 3:13) was on, but the tune used is R1D1 by Antony Crowther. It's in the High Voltage SID collection. I have listened to it for hours at a time.

  • I wish I still had all my c-64 games, had thousands of them, including tons of rare and hard to find utilities and applications.

  • Press Space! 87-88 were the best scene years!

    Goblin

  • Intro from the Fairlight 2:45 is deep in my head from the late '80 and I can't remove it ;) The question is do I really want it? Because this one is my of my fav .sid.

  • Can somebody tell me where i can download it or which musician wrote it.THANKS

  • Excellent choice to close with. When I think of crack intro tunes, the thing that comes to mind is the ESI Maniac Mansion intro. Thanks for putting this together!

  • One og my fav'ed 64-tunes!

  • Lotsa memories. Any idea who did the awesome music in the ACTIVE intro at the very beginning?

  • So many memories. A Touch of Class.

  • a touch of C=lasses

  • There existed a C64 into from Bros that used the s-express theme-music for one of their intro's... I still think that was one of the coolest music for a C64 intro ever ! ;)

  • Yeah the best bros isn't even present in this video :)

  • Good music , I liked Bros the best
