  • Stevo is really good at drums! Anyone who doesn't think so well that's your opinion

  • very good dynamics

  • love it man

  • lol he was trying to use flaming drum sticks but he got mad!

  • 0:00-0:10 Sum 41 style 0:10-0.20 Lars Ulrich style(at his best) 0:20-0:30 Stevo 32 style 0:30-0:40 Joey Jordison style 0:40-1:00 Lars Ulrich style again 1:00-1:25 Stevo style 1:25- 1:45 LARS 1:45-1:50 Chad Smith style 1:50-2:02 Joey Jord....... 2:02-2:08 Deryck style 2:08 back to Sum 41
  • @metallicasam36 that comment took way too much effort..

  • stevo whit Pearl?

  • good old days of Dave Bashk

  • what an idiot o_0

  • too bad for stevo, he's a drunk... he's one of the best drummers in the world, but he will get worse and worse with the alchohol... too bad for him. i wish i could stop him from drinking

  • 1:36

''do you want some more bitches??!!''

    great drummer

  • @schlafanzyk ur totally right dude.music is art,no competition, and Im pissed of all these technichial-musicians you spoke of.totally agree

  • stevo,Keep those Sum 41 Drums rollin!Brainy,Brainman Media

  • why is it that people who like metal type bands always have to argue that the drummers they like are better like really come on all drummers are good just in different ways

  • Pussyness in my earness!!

  • stevo is very very good ;)

  • WHAT SONG WAS THIS?

  • the song leading into the solo is "all she's got" and the drumsolo itself is from "32 ways to die"

  • Please stop say that Travis or anybody else kick his ass...

I prefer Travis barker but Travis isn't the better drummer on the world (my favourite but not the greatest)

Stevo have a great style and make Sum 41 sounds really good.

Stop comparing, music isn't a race or a contest it's art.

also this drum solo was good but I prefer stevo's drumming in some song like bitter end, no solution or even underclass hero...

  • its a good solo so shut your mouth.. he can do a lot better anyways, watch a drum cover of the bitter end-sum 41 thatll do it, its not even a solo its just awesome!

  • 1:00 to 1:20 nice

  • A7X drummer....

    vs...

    Stevo...

    epicness

  • i love stevo as a drummer, but the proper use of cymbals just perfects the art of drumming.. i dnt car what sorta music your into, if your into good drummers, Lamd of God's Chris Adler is one to check out! can make use of double kickers like no1 i know, and is THE single best drummer i know at creating fills- check the shit in Ruin, 2.40

  • i didnt know chris adler and it seems he does some pretty awesome stuff, but if you think he is the single best drummer at creating fills, you will shit your pants watching benny greb. if you dont know him yet, you should check out his 2005 montreal drum fest solo.

  • yeh, i kno benny greb and i hav to agree- awesome drummer, but i prefer Chris's style. im not sure why, maybe its just cause i love LoG :L

  • Which is the song that sounds initially?

  • can stevo defeat TRAVIS of BLINK 182???

  • you cant really compare them cuz travis loves using cymbals. stevo hates cymbals and he mainly playin the drums in this solo :P

  • There's no doubt in my mind

  • NO!! Travis is the ULTIMATE!!!!!! :D

  • so simple yet so good

  • he 's the new keith moon (y) i like stevo he's my favourite drummer

  • what's the song ? i wont do now $:

  • all she's got

  • Hey , thank's ^^

  • very underrated drummer.

  • I think Stevo32 is the best drummer all over the world... I think Steve Jocz and Joey Jordison are the bests

  • awesome! does he use double peddal

  • Nope, he does a one signle bass pedal with flams after it ;) Since the toms are pretty low it looks like double bass ;)

  • ur a dumass, its dbl bass. look 1:47. his left foot is on the 2nd pedal

  • damn, i didnt expect that kind of solo from him. he did a great job. i mean yeah it wasnt that hard but it was way more metal than punk

  • Well if i remember correctly. one of his favorite bands is Iron Maiden.. if that tells you any. lol

  • "maiden and priest were the gods tht we praised. cause we like having fun at other peoples expense then. its non eof my concern i guess i'll new learn. i'm sick of being told to wait my turn"

    XD

  • yeah they were influenced heavily by metal.

"Heavy metal and mullets, it's how we were raised"

  • la cancion ke empieza desde el principio antes del solo y despues del solo cual es

  • is all she´s got-all killer no filler

  • bravo

  • the song who are

  • LEGEND.

  • I agree, he is under-rated. He is a good drummer, but he is not the best. His solo wasn't that hard, I could play it almost note for note with a bit of practice, but it did sound nice.

He's always been one of my favorite drummers, not because he's a super talented drummer that kicks ass, but just because he's great and makes some nice bad ass beats.

Travis Barker is my favorite though :]

  • stevo = great

travis barker = SUPER AMAZING!!! SO TALENTED!!!

  • @underclassdamnriot Neither of those people are even above average.

  • he's such an under-rated drummer

  • ya man that drum solo was fucking insane!! and i agree dude there is no way in hell u can do that wit one bass pedal anyone know the song they was performing????

  • there playing ''All Shes Got''

  • what was the whole setlist

  • you can do that with 1 pedal but it is a bit slower and your foot fucking wreaks after

  • i think it's 'crazy amanda bunkface'

  • no it's all she's got

  • ah sorry, you're right of course

  • Comment removed

  • he uses double pedal live, no way he did those non-stop 16th on bassdrum with just one foot. you can see it, too

  • hi i couldnt see it lol

  • boring solo tbh

  • lets see you do it then

  • why wud i wanna just blast out straight 32nd notes it sounds boring, this is not that technially challenging or particulary good solo to listen too. go learn something about drums mate. not sayig hes a bad drummer thou hes jst lame at soloing

  • this is the only recorded solo i know of and its more than 7 years old. he has improved a lot but he rarely shows it in solos. check out the making of underclass hero and watch the part about the drums recording (starts at ~14:00). its not much, but you should be able to hear the difference.

  • and as far as i know there 16th notes

  • idiot. the bass drum is 16ths them with the toms filling in the extra spaces makes it 32nd notes! aka blasting 16ths notes. and the random speedy stuff hes doing round the kit later is also 16ths. oh and hes using two pedals

  • I kinda agree with you but no doubt hes pretty good. Hes one of those musicians who seem to play better with music as opposed to alone

  • hey, is this the same stevo in jackass?

  • nope, i wish it was though :(

  • HAHA OH MY GOD i hate that crowd!! its an awsome drum solo and the crowd are so lame about it, damn!

  • very good solo

  • why is deryck always drunk?

    xDxDxD

    but their shows are awful;)

    i love them

  • they are playing the song "All shes got" it s on the all killer no filler album

  • At 1:00 min hes playing the beginning of "32 Ways to die" from the album Half Hour of power.

  • What song they are playing after the solo ?

  • all she's got

  • this is way good but he is better now adays but this solo kicks ass

  • these kids shouldnt be drinking and driving.

  • wow the drum solo wasnt all dat great

  • BAM

    amaazing

  • he is amazing

    lol...this video ROCKS!!!

  • holy shit.. i never knew he was that good.. omg lol

  • hes way better now

  • hes actualy a really good drummer

  • lol yeah i thought he wasnt this good man this totally changed my perception of him

  • Whoa thats cooool!

Hes definitely the best musician in sum 41!

  • i wouldnt say it like that, because deryck is one hell of a musician in terms writing and composing .. but steve is definately the one who is most in control of his instrument

  • True mate, nice drum covers btw :)!

  • HOLY FREAKIN ASS CRACKERS THATS INSANE and schlafanzyk if you like a challenge try to do that

  • i do that in my dreams every night, i am very good at dreaming!!! haha :D

i will probably never be that good though, im not ambitious enough. i am more like a universal musician than a drummer, you know what i mean? :)

  • Ste tio es dios

  • I saw sum 41 live once.. It was a good show.. Derek asked the crowd what covers they wanted to hear and someone said metallica four horsemen and they played two sweet metallica covers

  • I got this dvd :D

Deryck admits that he's drinks to much before conserts xD

  • and they got security guards with waterguns ;)

  • that's very usual for punk rock bands.

  • I got this DvD :p Stevo rocks ! Sum 41 world best band ever

  • omg man travis is overrated way too much

  • idk i wanna see a duel b4 a die tho

  • can stevo defeat Travis Barker??? they have similar skills!!!

  • he is god

  • i think he's underrated

  • Must take skill to play drums.

  • not bad

  • Stevo 32 is pretty good!!!

Better then Tre Cool in Green day i think!!

  • Yes and he is more funny too

  • he kicks tre cool's ass

  • if you ask me, the whole travis vs. stevo thing is so ridiculous and childish. imo they have a completely different drumming style and i wouldnt say one or the other is a better drummer in general.

both have their unique skills (like i think stevo is more focussed on intense rolls while travis is more into tricky off-beat stuff) and its up to your personal taste who is your favorite ..

  • stevo i like better, i think blink 182 is overated. They are very successful yes, but they suck. Its all about being in the right place at the right time :/

  • i also like stevo better but i disagree, blink182 had some very good songs that i listen to quite often and as musicians they are awesome. they did what they live for and they succeeded until they broke up. sometimes i just dont like the sound of their vocals so much which is one of the many reasons why sum41 is still my all-time favorite band.

  • Blink sucks dick. they have no talent.

  • you're fucking wrong!!! Sum 41 copied Blink a lot!!! their punk rock style, but I love both bands including Greenday, Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Rufio, etc...

  • theres a difference between inspiration and copying. otherwise most bands could be accused of copying.

  • I don't know. I think Stevo has a much cleaner double bass than Travis Barker. He's a great drummer; a lot of the drummers I've met who can double bass overuse it a lot and it really gets annoying when they try to add it to every single song, but it's good to see a skilled drummer here who also knows when to keep it simple and clean.

  • travis doe not play double bass neither does stevo(i guess)

  • travis never does. stevo occasionally does on the albums.

  • steveo uses double bass

  • ofcourse Stevo plays double bass... listen to the end of Confusion and Frustration in Modern Times... especially the live version, he plays it... very last seconds...

  • nope thats actually a roll on the toms. you can see it in the making of. i think the only time he used double-bass on an album was in 'welcome to hell' and one other track that was on chuck. of course live its another story...

  • And in Mr. Amsterdam... But still... on Confusion and Frustration even if he's rolling on the toms... it's awesome haha

  • if you ask me, its actually even more awesome because of that fact. i desperately tried to figure it out but i cant even play that part slowly on my drums, because i just dont get the correct sequence of the hands.

  • I bet... he's got skill. But hm... If you listen to The Bitter End and I'm Not The One, there's some double bass in it as well... Rock oN !

  • theres double bass on still waiting, mr amsterdam, hyper droid, bitter end, welcome to hell, 88, no reason, open your eyes, im not the one, no brains, thanks for nothing and billy spleen. yeah i know, im sad.

  • stevo never uses double bass in the studio.he does use it live though most of the time.

  • Stevo is an amazing drummer for punk rock!!! Just like TRAVIS BARKER of BLINK 182/+44, hahaha!!! check out other kickass punk rock drummers, Longineau Parsons=Yellowcard, Mike Jimenez=Rufio, Cyrus Boolooki=NFG, drummer of SAOSIN, drummer of MCR, Chuck Comeau=Simple Plan

  • Blink 182 isn't punk, sorry to say

  • Travis barkers solo ffs. thats a shame

  • Why I think this solo is kinda similar to Travis Barker?

  • do u no how old this is

do u really think steve even knew who travis barker was back then, travis wasnt even famous back then

  • yeah he was this was 2001 travis was famous in the 90's but i still don't like travis as much.

  • it's just like travis barker solo. that's shame he has no uniqe style

  • woooooooooow !!!!!!!!! sum41sum41sum41sum41SUM41 FO EVER !!!!!!by bobbo

  • wtf r u talking about, show me the video of that solo

  • okej thnks

  • omg he is great and anybody knows name of song? pls:D

  • all she's got from all killer no filler but the original is without the solo

  • no, theres a solo, u can here the ending of the solo at the beginning

  • correcting myself: ..without the drumsolo ;)

  • oh my bad

  • he does a drum solo thats similar to this in a song called 32 Ways To Die on there Half Hour Of Power album, its pretty good

  • that is correct! 10p :)

  • yea i thought J1R4Y4 would want it

  • The song name is 32 ways to die on the first CD. well anyway, it's a part of it

  • Holy fuck shut the hell up about whos better there r so many types of styles and sounds come on people your makin your selfs sound like ass clowns. so if Joey likes a double kick thats his style. There all good drummers. I see this on every comment place on almost every vid. This person is better then this person its stupid!...Ooooohhhh but u guys dont care! too bad! But u know am right :}

  • Dare I ask why no one has even mentioned Danny Carey of Tool? Carey takes both stevo and barker to school

  • alright calm dowm, let others have their own opinion :D

who do you think you are to tell everyone who is the best drummer?

its still also a matter of taste and i dont have to tell you that people have different tastes, do i?

  • OMFG! He rocks totaly!!

    he kicks som serrious ass

  • Actually i agree with you, schlafanzyk

    :D

  • stevo is fuckin awesome, i dont care whos better, travis or stevo. i jus think stevo has more of a personality. hes more of a laugh.

  • the thing is , have you seen travis smashing his kit up , sorry but stevo moves the littlest bit and comes out with mentally fast fills , his technique is brilliant , travis is good yeah but his technique is pants , he smashes his kit to pieces and goes a bit too mental :|

  • travis does have a very very good technique, you cant deny that. watch the "travis barker snare drum solo", this guy is crazy. still, I like his drummings not as much as stevos, I cant explain why. I think its because of his character which makes him so much more than just another drummer.

  • none of us knows how good steve really is. travis is just all over the place promoting himself, thats why one would think he is the better drummer, but you cant seriously compare him with steve. steve never left his role as the core member of sum41 besides playing some drums for operation m.d., the latest avril record and directing a few videos.

    we need new stevo stuff!

  • I think travis is better. (:

  • If you think Travis is better, you are sucking on the nipple of the mass media, and you are a brainless drone.

  • Stevo is good, and could give Travis a run for his money, but in the long run there are only few drummers that could compare to Travis. I believe Travis is ranked in the hundred greatest drummers, and stevo isn't close to making the list.

  • Are you kidding me? 'Few drummers could compare to Travis'? Is that a joke? Get your shit straight, my friend. Travis would be impressive if he was a teenager. He's just about average for someone his age. He's good, but he's so damn overrated. Go look at Buddy Rich, Mike Portnoy, Neil Peart, Dave Wekl, Bill Bruford, Steve Smith. And even if the mainstream was all there was to drumming, Stevo is much, much, much better than Travis in technique, composition, and style. Learn a thing or two about..

  • cont: ..music before you go around judging drummers based on some list you found online, compiled by other people who don't know shit. I personally know at least four drummers in their teen years, and five drummers in their twenties or thirties (at a drum store I go to a lot) who are better than Travis by very far. And don't give me that shit about 'if he's not that good, why is he famous?'. He's famous because Blink 182 has character. And I'm not saying he's bad, but he's NOT in the top 100...

  • And because they struck it lucky. Do you know how many great bands go unnoticed? How many shitty bands hit it big (ie Fall Out Boy)? Commercial success and musicianship are completely unrelated. Actually listen to this solo. Really listen to it. It's got rhythm, dynamics, complexity, but still gets the audience going. All Travis does is play fast drum-rolls, accenting every third note (trust me, I tried to learn one of his solos in middle school) and maybe some other fast fills, but really, he's

  • absolutely nothing. In the long run, there are few drummers who keep Travis as an idol past high school. Go shopping around the progressive rock section, or the jazz section, and you'll see who are truly good drummers and who have pseudo-skill. Sorry to write so much, but more than what I wrote, there is so much wrong with what YOU wrote. Go educate yourself, kid.

  • stevo is better than travis

    sum 41 rock

  • whats the name of the song before he starts the drum solo
