Very nice footage. What settings did you use on camera? And what did you use to create the cinematic look? Also, this flycam seems to work great, thinking of buying it. How much did you pay?
hello.. i have the same flycam as you.. when i lift it from ground level it is balanced vertically and horizontally , however when i move the flycam swings forward backward , left right like no tomorrow. do you know the fix???
Moving side to side means move the bottom plates outward a bit. Moving back and forth means the bottom weights are too far out. In both directions means it's probably bottom heavy (a bottom heavy rig will still balance on the sled stationary but give you problems when you start gliding). Top heavy it will swing like a madman and refuse to stay level when stationary.
Hello! I have a Canon EOS 550D. Do you know how I can fix it that it looks like this one (I mean the aspect ratio (black bars up and under the video))? Please help! :)
Nieźle, myślę nad zakupem tego flycama, na ebayu stoją od 100 do 180 dolarów, możesz mi napisać gdzie go kupiłes i ew. jeśli przez ebaya to czy płaciłeś CŁO ? dzięki z góry
@filmcyfrowy Thanks mate. I've seen your blog, a shame I can't understand your language, I'm trying to set up a blog myself in Spanish wich in my language, hope you don't mind me to ask, can you set it up free with wordpress or blogspot etc. or you have to pay for hosting company?
@PaperTwinProductions I use all weights. But it should hold your lens because with my 24mm there is still a lot of place to pull it down - to make it bottom heavier .
If you haven't already seen it, this slip might help you out. I can't wait for mine to arrive! cheesycam(dot)com/the-most-boring-video-in-the-world/
@fehlszene That was the 1st time I was operating steadicam ever and I thought it was balanced well, but as you can see camera is swinging so there must be something wrong. I keep on practicing ;)

@andyh0316 you probably have to much weight on the bottom, try adding less weight

how did you manage to keep it in focus on the flycam
7HillsProduction 6 months ago
@7HillsProduction I focused by hand on the subject and than I tried to keep the same distance between subject and camera

@GjproductionsTM If you're using final cut just use the filter "widescreen" then select the aspect ratio :)

Is it a problem if i use it with a very light camcorder? Well its not like phone light but its pretty light.

Hi mate, do you think it'll support my 5Dii with a 24-105mmLens?
hotgypsylips 1 year ago
@hotgypsylips Canon 24mm f/1.4 II USM weight is 650g. Canon 24-105mm weight is 670g. So there is almost no difference. I think it will work.

@filmcyfrowy Did you use all the weights? You think it'll hold the 24-70mm? It's like 300g heavier though :/

@bringbackmy80s Thanks. I've seen it, but still it looks like I have to practice balancing more. Emm has unbelievable skills to operate steadicams.

I would like to have that lens :)
And i also like the footage but there is still a very noticable swinging motion...did you balance it well enough ?
