This is one of my favorite songs by Eric and one that always brings me to tears. And the countering of Eric's words by John are incredible in how they reflect so much of society.
I clicked "Like" above, but it wasn't really true. No one with a heart could "like" this song, but was I moved by it? I was moved to tears, and I'm a tough old sailor who has knocked about and hardened his heart to much in 68 years of life.
@antalyaliving I grew up listening to this, I have never heard such a moving song since. What is so gripping in this song is the disagreement they have about life as a whole even after death. Such a poignant message either way and sheer brilliant writing. Eric and John are legends in their own right.
