I think I was at the same concert Marike descripes at the Drieluyck Zaandam. I am following Barrelhouse from the early beginning in Alkmaar.
I ll never forget when Barrelhouse accompagnied Albert Collins at the Wapen of Heemskerk in Alkmaar, playing with a long cord into the wardrobe almost and back! Just like the Red Sea Story in the Bible(I m NOT religious) everybody moves alongside! Wonderfull !
I am so Proud of Dutch Bands like Cuby and Livin Blues and Barrelhouse....
Tineke is one of my favourite dutch Blues singers...She is born in the same town as me..She was great when i heard her live in Drieluyk in Zaandam in 1975, and still the best voice now...Love her:-)
Het blijft gewoon..Good Old Blues.... Waar we nog steeds trots op zijn en kunnen zijn.. trust me... Dit is ..MUSIC.... De Amerikanen.. kennen onze Drop.. en Cuby's Blues... TROTS...
