  • Thank you for this video.. I've loved those 3 since 1965.... many, many great memories.. They will always be my heroes !!!!! ♥

  • great tribute. If I remember right, Clapton, Pete Townsend, and George Harrison went to Jimmy's mansion and talked him into playing with them for charity, it was for that and to save Jimmy's life, he had been holed up in his mansion doing nothing but heroin so this basically helped save his life thank God

  • By any chance can we hear the three of them playing?

  • busted, once in a while i do, fall in love with you

  • Nice video! I love these guitarists! As much as Hendrix has changed music, I still think these three were the originals and the innovators of rock. No discredit to Jimi, but he had to travel to England in the mid-sixties to mature his talent against Clapton, Beck and Page.

  • three giants who invented the lead guitar, also hendrix.

  • Eric and Jeff helped Jimmy off Heroin after this tour.

  • Three legends of rock together, all coming from that great band, the Yardbirds!

  • Great vid I could have done without the Extreme tho...

  • I agree...these guys should get together and do a music special.

  • Clapton is boring? Nah i don't think so. These three always played to the mood and feel of the song. Page could write better guitar pieces but Clapton could improvise brilliance like no other. Look at his Derek and the Dominos work (particularly the song 'I looked away' where Duane Allman plays his solo at the same time as Clapton, but it doesn't feel like a battle, it feels like the two were focussed on the music) and Clapton still has great improv ability now.

  • lol 0:53 Jeff is reluctant to use a pick, and Eric convinces him to.

  • Like it man!! Like it!!!

  • Didn't Extreme write this song?

  • Great points about Clapton: technically perfect but boring. I love Jimmy Page and Beck, though. And Page, well, not only did he have a great diversity of talent on the guitars, his sense of stagecraft and showmanship was just exquisite!

Loved it when he did the "cat-walk" when playing the overture to Moby Dick, among many other groovy moves! :)

  • The mid to late sixties and seventies saw these three musicians change the landscape of music for all time. Their separate and combined influence cannot possibly be overstated in that regard. Clapton-Beck-Page. I would gladly take One of each thank you!!! But, I have to say, Jimmy where are you? Vacationing in Cuba of all places the last time I got an update on your whereabouts. The studio and stage is where I would like you to be. Yeah, wish in one hand., sh*t in the other, I know how that goes

  • of the three Jimmy Page's star shone the brightest but not without low points........Clapton is technically perfect but is boring......Beck is totally amazing the odd time but unreliable and admittedly is a poor song writer and plays note for note......But Page in his prime there was none other.......too bad he got hooked on H.....there all good mated and should be respected as equalls although I would take 1 Page over 100 Claptons and 20 Becks...........

  • @9sshty6 yes and 16 Jimi Hendrix

  • @9sshty6 Perhaps true about Jimmy. But in the end his dark side got the better of him. Today he's a living wreck, whereas Clapton and Beck are still sane and going strong. Sad. You can't expect to mess around in the dark side to that extent and come out shining bright light. It just doesn't happen. Sooner or later, it takes its toll.

  • What an odd thing to say about Jimmy Page. Living wreck? He's still inventing music!

  • Jeff Beck is FINE!!!!!

  • 3 great legends....but jimmy page ever was the number 1 near them, the big rockstar!!

  • Ah, it just brings me happiness... and for that, I thank you.

  • shame "It might Get loud" couldnt get these three guys 2gether...

  • @dsjlzc1234

that's what I want to say as well...

    Nice comment.

  • @dsjlzc1234 THATS WHAT I WANT!!!!

  • @dsjlzc1234 That's what i want!

  • @dsjlzc1234 or almost anyone other then the edge, jack whites pretty dope.

  • @dsjlzc1234 yea maybe it's a shame but the movie was all about the other approaches and these three guys are pretty much similar to each other :)

  • @dsjlzc1234 i thought jack white was great for that dvd personally, and the edge was interesting in his own way, i gained respect for him after watching it

  • @dsjlzc1234 Yeah I don't think Jack White really needed to be there, he's just a throwback really.

  • @dsjlzc1234 Nah dude, Jack White was essential to that film, I could have done without the Edge's bullshit. . .

  • Thanks for a great video; it really took me back to the days. Having seen all three of these cats many times - up close & personal in the 60s & 70s - mere words can't really do justice to their incredible talent. You'd have to have been there.

All that talent and they're great guys to boot! Keep on rockin' boys.

  • @Kathmandu1970

I sould say thank you my friend,

this is the ture nice comment ever!

  • Fantastic, To see the friendship between three heros of music .Moving, ,and the all time smoking, so funny! Love Them All. Thanks and forgive my English Pleaseeeeee.:-)

  • I WAS AT THIS SHOW IN NEW YORK !

  • 3 of the 4 greatest guitar players of all time..in the same studio..wow....thank you so much for this....

  • @chunter5100 all that was missing was ALLEN COLLINS HE NEVER GETS HIS DUES BUT ALLEN COLLINS RATES UP THERE WITH PAGE,BECK,CLAPTON

  • siete irripetibili,la vera storia del rock, dell'autentico rock

  • The real G3

  • @Maxito4321

    Agree!!!!!

  • @Maxito4321 g3 is a little piece of shit!

  • @Maxito4321 Wisest comment on Youtube.

  • Jimmy, jeff and Clapton , gods of guitars !

  • Oh cut the crap - Beck is better than...Page is best....Clapton is God, yadda yadda....they are all legends, and we are &%$'ing lucky they are alive today.

  • Beck is the best of them all.

  • @schultz970 Page in his prime woulda wiped the floor with Beck

  • @schultz970 c'mon, you can't say he's the best. At that level these guys are, it's just a personal preference "who is the best". You can't get any better than anyone of these titans.

  • light on guitar talent?

  • God, Jimmy is a full blown heroin addict here. Looks like shit. But he is still THE guitar god!!!

  • @mnfatty learn to play before you throw comments like that about---why are you not there

  • That song?

  • Direto / meus favoritos!!

  • they are smoking some weeeed :D

  • A bit odd to put this music to go with this video. Would have liked it more to listen to some great songs by Beck, Clapton or Page, there are loads of great song by them.

Nice vid, but please, change the music...

  • @DirkjeA tell them if you like I'm shure they'l be really worried

  • Man are they smoking the shit sticks !!! Why did they smoke so much. I cant believe one of them hasn't gotten lung cancer.

  • @oreldm whats that got to do with anything?another pious self righteous jerk feels the need to point out that someone is doing something that they dont approve of. whats it like to be perfect? every gallon of gas you burn puts 4 lbs. of carbon monoxide into the air.do you own the most fuel effieciant car you can?how about public trans.do you ever use it?the gulf of mexico is turning into the dead sea because of oil use.but youre more worried about someone smoking across from you at TGIFs.

  • @oreldm - good comment. It took George Harrison from us. Even living in the country, health food diet, gardening - he was so addicted to cigarettes. They killed him.

  • Three guitar gods! But I confess I also like Keith Richards......

  • OMG! great footage but a tottaly wrong selection of background music.

  • bwahahahahaahah!

  • Out of the three Jeff Beck is the koolest ... he is a british version of a rockabilly rebel.

  • what happened here ?

  • this song makes it look like there is some kinda romance between the two lol. wtf

  • I adore all three of them and loved and still love the Yardbirds!!! To think all these guitar gods came from that group!!!

  • they all look so young for their age.

  • Well put together...THX

  • The EXTREME song really matches these images.

Three great men of music in our time.

    More than words.... song.

  • this is like a cigarette commercial lol. they are honestly three big influences on music. they all kick ass.

  • Gods man. These are gods. So much better than G3 trio of Steve Vai and Satriani and other guitarist of those group

  • Damn straight, these guys/gods are pioneers of rock

  • LOL Jeff Beck looks like Nigel tufnel in Spinal tap ha

  • Hahaha yea

  • one word. legends.

  • im not sure how much pagey & clapton are still friends,

    PAGE is the the man

  • Actually these three DID play together. They did Layla together,in a video to be found right here in You tube.I've watched in and its in my favorites.I just got thru watching it in fact.Just do a search for Layla, and you'll find it.All three of them together.Yup.I was wondering about the song too. That's why I checked out this video. They never did this song, its too new.

  • eric, jeff, n jimmy never played all 3 together in the yardbirds. . .

  • @bphatboyjohn123

    of course not.

    This is NOT yardbirds concert,

    this is ARMS concert.

  • wtf is arms. those 3 never played together. ever. n this song either. . .

  • @bphatboyjohn123 Acutually, they did play together as members of the yardbirds on the soundtrack of Federico Fellini's movie "BlowUp". They did "Train keeps a rollin" for the soundtrack. I was at the "ARMS" concert by the way and Jeff Beck blew Page and Clapton off the stage which wasn't that big a deal because Jimmy stoned to the gils on smack at the show and Clapton wasn't up to it.

  • They did not play together in the Yardbirds, Beck Replaced Clapton and then Page joined, Page and Beck played together in it and on things like "Beck's Bolero", but never all three together in the yardbirds

  • look up eric clapton, jimmy page, jeff beck, layla. it is on here and the arms concert was to raise money for aids.

  • the ARMS (action into research for multiple sclerosis) concerts - both in the US and the UK- were fund raisers for the organization. Ex-Small Faces & Faces Ronnie Lane developed the disease and was the instigator of the concerts.

  • why did they use extreme for this video?

  • @beefheart67

yea its awfull distracting, u cant mute it cause meybe u mite miss jimmy talking ,

  • Press mute button and watch it... It's a cool 'video'... Why didn't you put some Jeff or Eric song? Kinda idiot...

  • @vampiresun

My first vresion song is People get ready--Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart. But that was remove by youtube....so......

  • I see... sorry about that... But it's strange youtube removed Jeff Beck and not Extreme... Maybe you should try a song that fits well... That's a good video anyway...

  • Why don't you just mute then use media player

  • @vampiresun Almost sounds like The Eberly Brothers?

  • @vampiresu

I do that with a lot of video's and you pick up a lot of different things more.

  • @vampiresun ummm..that is a eric tune! "More than words"...but i think i know what u mean...i don't feel lthe song selection for the video. But in any event....Here's to 3 brilliant kats! Jimmy, Jeff n Eric!! Here's to ya boys

    ;-)

  • Waste of fucking time.

  • well meant, but a sorry excuse to show the 3 playing together......NOT

  • i prefer a ballad of the holies for this.....

  • Nice footage. Extreme's song is good, but it's a love song and really doesn't fit with these three great male guitarists. Just doesn't work, sorry to say.

  • beautifull!! nice song too! right athmosphere!

  • kkkkshow:

    audience

    weawasaswwswsaswwswashwahawhawahahw

-jeff-heres a song for all our yard birds fans

-bolero wordsss iss aaall i ever need

    kkkkkkk

  • whats the song?

  • The feminization of Rock&Roll...pitiful.

  • the post should have said: whiny extreme song w/footage, yet no music of yardbirds guitarists PLAYING TOGETHER!!! WHAT A JOKE...

  • so gay, with this song!

  • donottawaguitar says ya man

  • Sorry,....but this the WRONG song to use for this....

  • Awesome video and great song! :)

  • Does anybody know the name of the soundtrack ?

  • It's called "More Than Words" by Extreme. You can find it here, too; also how it's played.

    Regards from the Palatinate, Germany.

  • damn...play the actual trio rendition........

  • Fantastic. you captured the 'style' as if in a time machine.

The editing is well done. To see Eric (you can almost tell the year by his hair style)

is superb. Tragedy, addiction, brokern marriages would follow and yet here they are, with their instruments like Viking Swords and lances stating their dynasty and their rule in the music world.

The soundtrack was an excellent choice.

    Thank you.

  • Three giants - thanks

  • This was a very beautiful tribute to three of the greatest G-Men in the world. Nicely posted. Thanks and peace. Keep rocking.

  • well the way i feel it Jeff Wasent as Successfull as Eric or Jimmy , But Jimmy was the most successfull of the three being in the greatest band ever to walk the earth but i do agree that all three a Guitar Gods and all are Guitar Heros

  • Jeff Wasent ?

    who is he?

  • Wasent as successfull as Page or Clapton come on they wrote two of the best songs in classic rock, Page was in the Greates Band that ever walked to earth

  • Thank you very much.

    To me,

    they're all great,

but Jeff Beck is my all time HERO.

  • lol are wrong cause page and clapton became more suesful because they played for the masses dont get me wrong though i love them especially page but it was beck who paved his own path regardless of others opinion and his music is music for musicians his style is undoubtly the most unique from the three fromer yarbirds

  • @JimmyPage115 Hey man don't devalue Jeff Beck. no one can give the vocal quality to a guitar like he does.

this is coming from someone who absolutely WORSHIPS Jimmy Page.

  • in that sweater eric looks like your dad

  • living legends

  • Unknown supergroup XDDD

They are amazing, i want new band like this =(

  • they were an unknown supergroup

  • idk what beck is talking about saying he only played with page in yardbirds days, they played together as kids during and after school, that's when page met beck, he was one of the only kids with an electric that he made

  • he prob meant proffensionally

  • IT FUNNY WHAT one forgets when they get old,,,but he may have ment after the yardbird days cause those days are obvious.

  • i hate this song but love beck, page and clapton

  • I agree.

My first version song is People get ready.

  • PLEASE MAN , i love this song but who's singing there ? what a sweet voice, at 1:47

  • viva jimmy page por siempre

  • I wouldn't call them guitar legends, why won't you put guitar gods, it fits much better.

  • Gods, yes sir and will live on in my memory anyway.

  • All I can say is thank you rockbeckpage !!!

  • welcome!!!!

  • it got really bad for jimmy, he ened up staying in his house shooting drugs. one day jeff and eric broke

into jim's house and carried him out to the hospital. they saved his life. Jimmy and jeff, do love each other

very much! there is no competition between them. both pagey and clapton have both said that jeff, is the

better guitar player.they said that out of love.. "

  • i wouldn't want to have to deside which one was the better guitar player.

    they have three different styles.

    they are three different people.

they are one in spirt !

  • "pagey was addicted to drugs.

he turned to drugs in 1980- after the drummer for led zep died in his house, from o.d'ing on alcohol.

  • wonderful, beautiful insperational video !

    the 'YardBirdBrothers'

yea...you know they do love each other. they have been, and always will be together in their hearts and in the hearts of their fans.

i love them. they have made my life so much beter !

    5 stars *****

  • What a sweet and touching comment!!

You understand what I'm saying in the film completey!!

I want to pose my sister in Beck(smile)Linad's comment for everyone!Yes!That's what I want to say!! She said goddamn good!!

  • YES !!!!

    very god-damn good ♫ ♫

  • Wasn't it before the 83 ARMS show that he kicked the smack with Claptons help?

  • Can you say more the details?

  • The point is,they're so famous,so legendary, but when they stand together, just like back to the beautiful early age.Just like a kids, just like the old days.Who f***ing cares who the best is?

I'm so gald to see Eric and Jeff were here with Jimmy. That's really the wonderful friendship of guitar GODS I ever seen.

    Turly the brothers,the YARDBIRDS BROTHERS!

    More than words...

  • I can see the pure and turly friendship between them.

Most important is the ARMS concert,Jimmy was terrible weak,no one doubt he will die in someday at that time. But Eric and Jeff, they're so care about him, even Jimmy played messy in him masterpiece-Stairway to heaven, they're also cover him side by side.

  • Omg, thank you very much for uploading this..! I totally love those guitar guys, they're wonderful.. Three guys with a beautiful friendship.. This is awesome vid..

  • Thanks!!

I think my frist edition music-People get reay -is better than this one,I mean it was more the feeling in the film, but Youtube had to removed it.That's so sad...

I love the three all of my hreat,I can see the pure and turly friendship between them.
