They are flooded with calls from people about extremely abusive situations. PETA usually focuses on situations like animals in industrial settings like the dairy industry where the cows are trampled because of severe confinement during transportation. I have seen the films about the cattle. The US military does cruel tests.
They admit to wanting to blow facilities which they claim abuse animals without a thought to the possibility of human death. That isn't very ethical or humane to my point of view.

Cheap grains are needed for a cheap meat industry that is not profitable without government subsidies, nor does it make sense in regard to health. There are worse things in the world than an animals rights group euthanizing a bunch of miserable animals, some in too much pain to know where they are, some who are too traumatised to have a decent life..

I am not saying human beings are equal. I'm saying to the extent that they are, they deserve equal consideration. As an example, dogs, rabbits and small primates probably have equal capacity for pain, and many other human emotions such as depression or terror. In this regard, they deserve equal consideration because this aspect of them is as a matter of fact equal with ours, as far as we can fairly assume to say the very least.

The large agribusinesses supply GMO corn and grains for meat industry (their largest consumers). Cheap grains are needed for a cheap meat industry that is not profitable without government subsidies, nor does it make sense in regard to health. If you take care of animals by not eating them= you live longer so there is no discrepancy between caring for animals and ppl.
