I had 2 Corollas.A 1979 sport coupe SR5, it had the 1.8 liter engine with a trunk, not a hatch and a 1977 2 door with a 1.3 liter engine and a manual pull choke. This car was used as a pizza delivery car by me and the previous owner. I paid 500 for it, it had 400,000 miles on it and I sold it 2 years later in 1991 for 250 bucks.
I remember one of our neighbors down the road had a Toyota like that, I remember the odometer, "513,999 miles" (~827,163 kilometres)... It was rusted pretty bad, but the Engine and Transmission were in REALLY good shape though, 'cause I remember when they went to tow it away, they actually drove it on the flatbed (XD)... But, it was SUCH an amazing car.
@Ian74263 You really can't beat old Toyotas for reliability, they're wonderful. My 85 Camry has about 108,800 miles clocked on it and it still runs like a champ.
@runamoktoo I found the older Toyota's had very plasticy interiors. I haven't seen this particular one; though my brother owns a 1982 Toyota Pickup and it's complete hard plastic everywhere.

what a huge difference between this 1980 and a 1979, must be a generation change that year

Even the horrid 2003-2008 Corolla looks better than that one!

@talldude123 You have NO taste, dummy. At least THIS corolla was RWD, and not FWD bitch car like the new Toyotas.
